I can not say enough about how wonderful this place is. It can not be beat. There is really no need to repost all the good comments already made. Special recognition should be given to I think "Angelo" and the rest of the staff of Flame. Night time turndown services was beyond fabulous and housekeeping should be praised. We had the garden view room, not bad at all. A few things not criticisms just stuff other guest should know. The hotel is Half way between main village and Lionshead, if the weather is inclimate ride the bail shuttle bus, just 50 yards from rear of the property. The bartender and wait staff at the fireside bar are really good. Great bourbon sour. Rooms are huge. Hot chocolate is expensive, even for 4 seasons, but unbelievably good.

Terrific stay at the best resort in Vail...hands down. Service like nothing else I have ever experienced, despite it being in the off season. The guest rooms were large, warm and welcoming and the products in the room great too L'Occitane. Dinner at Flame was delish and the service there was the right level of attentiveness without hovering. Truly a Vail mountain gem!

We stayed here for two nights in October and really enjoyed our stay. We had the most standard room (garden level king) and it was completely fine. We were offered an upgrade to the next level room for $50/night when we checked in, however, we declined. The happy hour in the lounge, fully equipped with a huge fireplace, is a great way to relax after a day of hiking (or skiing if you visit in season). The selection of wines and beer were really nice and the local cheese plate was simply outstanding. As others have posted, watch when you check out to make sure the resort fee of $30/day is properly applied. We had received a free night as part of a stay two, get one free off season promotion. The website quoted the resort fee for each paid night and included it in the estimate. When we checked out, they had tacked on an additional resort fee for the free night, taking our total to $30 more than what we were quoted when we booked. Not a huge deal, but it did seem rather petty. I pointed out to the clerk that the printed confirmation showed no resort fee for the free night. He said it was their policy to charge the resort fee at the hotel when you check out for free nights, however, he would waive it for us. Given that they took it off the bill so quickly, still giving this property a five bubble review. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and the surrounding area. Also worthy of note, in the off season there is free parking in the village garage (about a 5 minute walk to the hotel.)

Thank you for your recent review of our Resort. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your room; our guest rooms are some of the largest in the Vail Valley--standard at 575 sq. ft. I am pleased to hear you were able to try out Fireside Lounge, a favorite winter haunt for apres-ski! That is correct on the Resort fee; it is to be adjusted off at time of check out.

Please visit us again soon!

Great home base for a romantic getaway weekend. Concierge was very helpful in arranging outside activities and recommending local restaurants. Our dinner and breakfasts at Flame were incredible, by far the best filet and french toast I have ever had.

Room Tip: Ask for mountain view room.

Very nice property, rooms were great. Service everywhere was lacking, especially for a Four Seasons. Staff were courteous, but execution was weak - from restaurant, to waiting 10 minutes for front desk staff, etc. The exceptions were the spa staff and the valet! The pool side food and beverage service was to the point of frustrating. We paid full price for rooms, and the hotel did not seem that busy. It seemed like there were enough staff, and they were friendly, but except for the valet and spa staff it seemed like everyone's first week on the job. We will be back...
