“Beautiful Property in a Beautiful Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2011

I booked two garden view rooms in late April, but was informed before our arrival that the hotel wing of the hotel was shut town that week due to construction. My two rooms were upgraded to one four bedroom residence, and let met tell, that was the most magnificent hotel room or condo I have ever been in. The beds were incredible, the kitchen fully stocked with cookware, and the patio had an amazing view of the mountain.

If you aren't fortunate enough to score such an upgrade, you will still love the pool area and the town of Vail. Everything in Vail Village is within walking distace of the hotel's back door. Also, if you have the chance, eat breakfast at the hotel's restaurant, Flame. It's the best breakfast I've ever had.

Very nice place. We went off season for discounted price, but it was the best hotel that we stayed, period. We would definitely go back.

My kids and I came through for one night and took advantage of the off season rates and will have to make it a tradition. The whole property is gorgeous but what put it over the top was the service and the little extras. The bathrobes and slippers for my kids, the extra effort the staff made with every request we made, the pool and the warm towels when you get out. We had dinner at the the Fireside Grill and sat out on the terrace. The food was amazing and our server was very attentive and anticipated every need. When it got a little chilly and the kids were handed blankets they were down right giddy. In my son's words "I have never been anywhere where the people are so nice!" These are the types of experience that make memories. Thanks!

We went during the off season, inbetween skiing and the summer months. So, if you want a great deal, that may be the time to go. We were upgraded from a king to a king suite. The room was absolutely amazing! 2 fireplaces, 2 bathrooms (both with showers), 2 balconies and 2 HD TV's. The spa was amazing. I got a massage and a facial that were wonderful. The indoor hot tub was a favorite ritual after a workout in the hi tech workout room. I can't say enough about the hotel and the staff. Would definitely return even though I don't ski! I love the Four Seasons!!

It is a magnificent property with the trademark Four Seasons service! The staff is beyond friendly and attentive, they really do treat you like family. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and we particularly enjoyed having a fireplace and walk-in closet. the pool is big and the locker rooms are phenomenal with a huge Jacuzzi, wet and dry saunas, and adjoining lounges for some serious zen time. The location is perfectly central to all of Vail Village, but I can understand the objection some have for its distance to the lifts. Then again, if they carry your belongings and there's a shuttle, I'd still prefer the Four Seasons over the other resorts. Being a travel addict, I checked out many resorts in Vail and Beaver Creek, including the Westin (Beaver Creek) which received the number two resort ranking by Conde Nast. Again, I found the FS much more warm and appealing. My main criteria in a hotel is the noise level and I was pleased that never once did I hear our neighbor's TV, nor their baby. I ran into the neighbor who profusely apologized for the crying, but again, I never heard a thing. Bottom Line: Four Seasons Vail is nonpareil !!!

Stayed at the Four Seasons for the first time. It was after ski season so it was not busy and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The restaurant was excellent and Nicholas (maitre'd?) was delightful. The spa is first-class, very serene with nice features like an outdoor lounge area. The women's locker room is huge as is the hot tub. We especially liked to sit out by the pool by the fireplace in the rain-it is covered. Also used their nice health club. Comfortable room and nice artwork throughout the hotel.

You can walk to the shops easily although not much is open in May. That was disappointing.
