“Vail Spa provides every courtesy and amenity a skier could want.”
Reviewed February 21, 2011

This was our 3rd trip to Vail Spa. We had stayed there twice with our ski club and liked it so much we returned with two other couples. The three bedroom condos have three nice sized bedrooms, two with attached baths and one with a bathroom across the hall. There is plenty of room for all of your ski gear and beds can usually be put together for a king or seperated into two twins. There is a secure ski locker just off the lobby and a closet on the bottom floor of each condo unit to accommodate boots, helmets, gloves and other ski gear. They will provide a van to a nearby City Market or Safeway for grocery shopping and there is a shuttle bus across the street for the 3 minute ride to the Lionshead gondola if you don't like to walk any distance in ski boots. Bus line also will take you to Vail village or any stops in between. There is a nice sized indoor pool and hot tub as well as an outdoor hot tub and heated pool. The staff is extremely courteous and quick to fix any problem. They replaced a broken hairdryer for us in a few minutes. The kitchens are well supplied with utensils, pots etc. We like to cook in and made some fantastic meals. Plenty of diverse restaurants in Vail and in Lionhead as well. We have skied in Europe, all over the west and the east and Vail Spa is probably the most comfortable and accommodating resort we have stayed in.

We had the pleasure to stay for 7 nights at Vail Spa. For a family of 7, the location cannot be beaten. The front door of Vail Spa is literally 75 feet from the Vail "In Town" bus. This bus line will take you into Lion's Head and Vail and when the kids get tired at the end of a long day playing and eating in Vail, you will love the quick drop off.

Our family looks for accommodations that allow us opportunities for variety. Vail Spa has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. There is a tennis court on the property which is well maintained. Within 3 blocks you can rent bicycles and within 8 blocks there is a large park with an extensive play area, a basketball court and a large soccer/frisbee etc field.

Vail Spa itself is well appointed with clean, well decorated rooms. The rooms that we have stayed in over the last few years have full kitchens, multiple televisions and plenty of space to relax.

All in all, a great getaway in Vail Colorado.

Spacious accomodations very close to restaurants and gondola. Very nice pool and hot tub. Staff were friendly. Low key atmosphere. Noise from nearby construction was a minor distraction.

The pictures on the "Vail Spa Condominiums" website (http://www.vailspa.com/) are vastly superior to the room (313) we were tucked into on our arrival. 313 in no way could class-up to the site's pics. Here's our take: totally outdated; a condo in some sort of awkward transition concerning furniture, artwork, amenities, etc. Well outdated and the carpeting was from the 1980s for sure. We rent a condo because we like to eat in and the kitchen was awful--no napkins, trash compactor not working, nor the oven; dishes/glassware/cooking utensils were not meant for anyone wanting to actually prepare a meal. Bedrooms were quite separated, but there was construction going on just outside. With NO A/C, we were subjected to daytime and nighttime I-70 road noise as windows had to be open to sleep at all. Slept very poorly due to this constant traffic noise. They did not provide regular coffee, bubble bath (it is supposed to be a SPA!), washing powder, etc. Some days the dish washer was emptied, other days not. I had to ask to have the main bath's water plug replaced. Pool area was clean and mostly peaceful Staff were always very nice, however. Get the owners to update if they expect repeat business and happy renters....
And, VAIL was spectacular in summer!

Vail Spa Condominiums is comprised of 56 individually owned properties, some of which have been updated more recently than others. While we agree that the silver-rated condominium that this guest stayed in is dated, it is clear on the Vail Spa website that the decor of each residence is different. As this guest reserved their condo through a wholesale travel agent and did not speak directly with our front desk or reservations staff, they would not have known that this last 2-bedroom condo that was available at the time of booking was a little worn.
Vail Spa Condominiums encourages all guests to inform the staff immediately of problems during their stay. If we had known how disappointed this guest was at anytime while in residence, we could have addressed their concerns.
We have sent this guest a gift certificate for a heavily discounted return stay so that they may perhaps join us again in one of our more finely appointed rental properties.

I'm gonna start right out with my only complaint: when we arrived, our condo was terribly stuffy and hot, and without AC it took us a good while with open windows to freshen it up. The house staff were great though, and got us a couple of large box fans. In fact, overall the staff were superb, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

We came up here to chill and do some light backpacking after a few days in Denver and this was a perfect base of operations. We were surprised at the size and layout of the apartment when we arrived, we'd kinda expected a cramped hotel-suite style space but this was far better and felt much more homely and inviting. There was plenty room for our high-energy 4 year old son to charge about safely and securely. The complex was very quiet and peaceful, except for construction noise from the nearby road outside when we opened windows. Although we ate out, the place was well-equipped for basic cooking and entertainment. Location was perfect for the gondola - about a 5 minute walk - and only a minute from the free shuttle into town. We even had a mountain view from our condo - I guess you can't blame the accommodation for the rain!

The area was noisy due to construction, but the location was good and the staff was excellent. Condo was tasteful and very clean. Covered parking was nice and elevators accessable to every floor. Very flexable on early check ins and late check outs.

As the trip leader for the Ski Club of Wash DC's (SCWDC) trip to Vail, we were looking for a quality place to reinforce the quality skiing. We found it! Vail Spa is exceptional. Their treatment of their clients, whether a guest leasing an owners members condo, or that owner is as a favorate family member. The staff is helpful, friendly, courteous (all the boy scout attributes). The condos themself are appointed with individual quality touches; as if the owners are competing amongst themselves for the best one. I think I stayed in the best one; it was spatious enough for all my trip participants to enjoy apres ski events with marble counters, western appointments, and a large outside deck area.
