This place is beautiful! The bed (king size) was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on! Every staff person we dealt with was extremely helpful and courteous.

Very enjoyable stay here. I would suggest asking for a room close to the elevator, because it can be quite a walk to your room.
The gym is awesome and the locker room was unreal. I wish I saw this prior to my last few hours at the resort.
Transportation is not an issue. The hotel has a good, free bus service.

Stayed at this hotel with my wife in the summer and had a great time. The grounds and pool are meticulously maintained; the resort has recently been updated. The room was clean, not overly large and it was a bit awkward because it was located on the third floor and had dormer. We did not use the spa services at the hotel; the services appeared to have exorbitantly high prices. The parking fee was upwards to $20 which also seemed excessive. The resort is located out of walking distance to downtown so it is not so convenient to the many Vail restaurants and sites.

My pet peeve, after finding the best price and agreeing to it, is to find a "Resort Fee" will be adding to my bill. Their fee paid for in-room coffee (free at most other hotels) and access to the spa, among other things. You do pay more for an actual massage in the spa, but I guess you couldn't enter with paying the fee. The "Superior" room wasn't that big, and the bathroom and vanity areas were pretty dark. The room was clean and the linens were crisp and fresh.

We booked through American Express Platinum and got a free upgrade, breakfast, and food credit. The service was very impressive for a four star hotel. The concierge was very helpful, the room clean, and even the waiters at the restaurant very nice and helpful. We were able to rent bikes from the hotel directly and given great advice for excursions. Make sure you get a mountain view, we spent a lot of time on our balcony. Spa needs an upgrade.

If you're a skier, I really don't recommend staying here. The hotel is not within walking distance of either Vail Village or the newly fixed-up Lionshead Village, and if you come for the slopes AND the apres ski atmosphere, it's a bad idea to stay here. While they do have their own chair that's convenient in the morning, you have to ski down a long, winding, dull cat track to get home, and you have to take a shuttle to get to the town. If you're in town for dinner, you have to wait outside up to 20 or 30 minutes for it to come get you; when it's snowing and cold, that just isn't fun. A few things turned me off; the shuttle van has a "tip bucket" just sitting out. When you're paying upwards of $300 a night, I thought that was pretty tacky. The restaurant Atwater at Gore Creek is lovely, but breakfasts are overpriced and not included. The outdoor pool is really small, but the "fire features" were nice. There were only 2 people at the front desk, and no real concierge. There was a long line in the mornings to pick up your equipment at the rental shop, and because you're stuck there, you can't go to any other shops in the town. Maybe off-season it's better, but for skiers, I'd look elsewhere.

My family of 4 booked a weekend trip to the Vail Cascade through Priceline this last weekend. We were so thrilled with the beautiful resort , the amazing service and the beautiful view of the mountains. My teenage girls throughly enjoyed swimming at the (smallish) pool and when our poolside snacks didn't arrive for 45 minutes, the waiter took 50% off of our bill without us even complaining. Room service desserts were fresh and delicious; you must try the monkey bread! One caveat: this is a resort and resort fees were definitely applied. $25 to valet park overnight and always those mysterious and ever-present "resort fees" listed on our bill. Not too bad at about $8.00 though. Overall - we left feeling pampered and loving Priceline for booking us at such a beautiful spot.
