“Simply Amazing”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

The Vail Cascade Resort & Spa is the ultimate destination when in Vail. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful - - there to give you whatever you need with a smile. The rooms were recently upgraded and the finishes are very nice. The Creekside pool and spa are incredible; relaxing and peaceful. There are activities nightly for people of all ages, making it a very family friendly environment. The recreation facility is top notch - one of the best in the Vail Valley. With group fitness classes, basketball and racquetball courts, and of course the Aria Spa, it is the best place to get in a great workout. If you are having a wedding in the Vail Valley, Vail Cascade is the place to have your wedding party and guests stay. Everyone will be pleased with their stay.

Gorgeous setting in mountains beside a stream. Beautiful rooms and great shuttle access to Lion's Head and Vail Village. Pools and gym were wonderful.
We had some trouble in our group getting the types of rooms that we had reserved; eventually the problems were resolved, but we were inconvenienced on the 2nd day moving to rooms that should have been assigned the first day. It was indicated that at times they may be overbooked even though you had a prepaid room--this happened a one of the couples in our group that arrived later in the day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the stream and mountains. 2nd floor floors with balcony are great.

This is really a great property. The accommodations are very comfortable, clean and the service is great. The employees from the front desk, concierge to the restaurants are really lovely and helpful. The location is definitely a great spot even though it's not right in the village...especially in the summer ...it's right on the stream with gorgeous views that the Four Seasons can't even claim. It's not super fancy, but it's definitely is in line with the Vail lifestyle and vibe. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a head-on view of the stream with a private balcony.

My husband and I have stayed at the Vail Cascade multiple times in both the summer and off-season spring. We spend the rest of the year planning our return! We love the Vail Cascade. It is close enough to walk into Lionshead and Vail Village but far enough to be out of the main traffic. We have walked the footpath many days and evenings and stopped once along the way for my husband to propose!

The staff is always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to recommend restaurants and hiking trails. The rooms are very quiet and comfortable. With the mini fridge, we are able to keep a few things for breakfast and pack a lunch before we go out for a day of fun. The hotel buffet breakfast is delicious. While it is a bit pricey for breakfast it is no more so than the other local restaurants and offers a spectacular view! We love the salt water pool and the jacuzzi with the fireplaces going at night.

They seem to always have a special that is just too good for us to pass up. We love the Vail Cascade and really wouldn't consider another place for our stays in Vail! We will likely see you this fall!!!

Room Tip: ALWAYS GET THE CREEKSIDE ROOMS! They are well worth the sound of the creek and view. The rooms tow...

We stayed at the Cascade for 3 nites in June. Billed as 4 star. Beautiful setting, right on Gore Creek. Our room was ok, average size and clean. Bike path behind the hotel very nice, right on the creek. Small pool, but nice area, with fire pits in the evening. Small snack bar at pool side.
The area is beautiful and location of the hotel to Vail Village great to walk to or bike. They do have a shuttle, we biked.
However, the hot water faucet in the bathroom sink was so difficult to turn on, we didn't use the hot water. The faucet in the shower leaked, and the ceiling fan "knocked" about loudly when turned on, and looked like it might drop from the ceiling at any moment...we stopped using it They. Need a few updates.
I must say the staff as a whole were not friendly ( two young gals at the pool were very nice) and we didn't see too many staff about the hotel. The concierge/bell hops were not helpful nor friendly at all, esp. when they realized you were going to take care of your own luggage, but they sure pushed for a tip. When leaving, I was carrying things in both arms and 3 of the young men were standing at the desk, they all avoided eye contact and didn't even offer to open the door for me....4 star I don't think so!! Need a bit more staff training!
Everything very expensive! We did not use the spa....but had to pay a resort fee of $27.00 a day...I used the pool twice to work out for one hr. Valet parking $18.00 a night, expedia does not mention these fees. I checked, you can self park for free...wow. And really not a problem.

Room Tip: Did not use spa nor eat breakfast there. They do have a small "deli" type store out side...

We arrived to a nice cozy, hotel with great staff that was very nice and helpful. They knew we were here for a wedding and gave us pertinent info around the area. This hotel also offers condominiums that our friends rented that looked fabulous and very spacious! Our room was great, it had a ceiling fan which I always love having in my rooms. The bathroom had large shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles for use instead of the small travel size ones which were nice and also a little more eco-friendly. There was a fridge and a safe that was in our room which was a nice amenity. We paid about $150 (incl. taxes) and we got our money's worth.

We ate at their hotel restaurant, Atwater which had fabulous food and a great view. Our favorite was the salmon with the gnocchi and we had the honey, goat cheese for an app which was very tasty. They also have a great fitness area with even a basketball court, it does cost an extra $15.00/day to use. They also have a shuttle bus that runs till midnight and comes by every 15 minutes to take you to the Village.

I highly recommend this place for and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in room 200 which is the last room in our hallway so it was nice and quiet.

I have used Tripadvisor for years but have never posted a review before. But this place blew my mind and i had to write a review and tell others about this great gem in vail. Few things to mention:

1) Great staff
2) Gore creek flowing behind the hotel. And get a room with mountain/creek view
3) Paved pathway to jog or bike behind the hotel along Gore creek
4) Swimming pool and Spa overlooking Gore Creek and mountains
5) Affordable prices.

I will definitely stay here again in future..

Room Tip: Room with Mountain /Creek view...otherwise they have rooms looking into the front courtyard..
