“Outstanding Week In Vail at a Great Resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

I must say this experience exceeded my expectations! In Vail for a week-long conference at the Vail Cascade Resort was a nice change of pace from city hotels as in the past. Having our conference at the Vail Cascade was a great opportunity for the meeting planners to realize a mountain resort is perfect for smaller conferences, board meetings, retreats, etc.

From the moment I arrived from DEN via SuperShuttle bus the conference provided, to check-out, staff and accommodations were great. All of the staff I interacted with were very helpful and made me feel welcomed. The concierge staff were helpful with information about Vail Village. The shuttles are complimentary and during the shoulder season run on demand when you need a lift to Vail Village or Lions Head Village. A quick phone call when you're ready to return to the resort and the shuttle is there to bring you back!

My room was a "creek side room", and I had a ground level room overlooking Gore Creek and Vail Mountain. I was indeed blessed by the quietness of the surroundings. There is a paved walking or bike trail along the creek that will take you to Vail Village or Lions Head Village if you're up to a walk. Remember, the elevation of Vail is 8,100 feet!

My room was spacious, comfortable and very much a resort feel, you might call it upscale causal! A very comfortable bed and lines made the sleep time great. The room was designed with a sunken (two steps down) sitting area complete with a large desk. I was able to unpack, spread out and enjoy the week and the conference. Lots of storage space both in the dresser unit and closet. The bath area had a separate tub/shower area, and a double sink with lots of counter space.

The property is huge and can be daunting and overwhelming at first. Plan to do a lot of walking from the front lobby area and your room. Once you have a lay of the place it is fairly easy to get to and from your room. Besides, it was good exercise!

Most of the time meals were either off-site at other venues, or at the hotel conference center. A couple mornings I had breakfast at the on-site restaurant. The wait staff were very professional and accommodating, and the food was outstanding. I wish I could have tried lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant, as it offers a beautiful view of Gore Creek and Vail Mountain.

Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The front desk staff even assisted with shipping an item back home that didn't fit in my luggage!

The resort is very warm and inviting with an upscale, yet casual, mountain resort feel. The setting is almost a bit of heaven on earth!

This resort would make an excellent setting for family reunions, weddings, board meetings, conferences, retreats, or just a get-a-way from the big city. I hope to return to the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa in the future. One piece of information - it is approximately a two-hour trip from DEN airport, but very easy to get to. Once you're on I-70 west bound, you'll be in Vail a few hours later, traveling through a beautiful part of Colorado!

Kudos to the staff at Vail Cascade Resort and Spa! You made our stay perfect!

Room Tip: Ask for a creek side room, as you'll have great views of the mountain and Gore Creek.

Stayed here through a Living Social deal. We arrived right and check-in to find out we had been upgraded to a suite. I had beeng corresponding with them thru twitter on doing an early check-in. I assume since they couldn't do that, we were upgrade? Anyways, that was a nice surprise.

Hotel is very warm and inviting. Everything is clean, building is older but the inside looks very new. Rooms was large and clean with a nice patio. The pools and hot tubs were nice and warm.

The main restaurant was very good, although more casual then we expected. Prices were definitely reasonable. I like the Fireside grill a lot.

If I were to come back I'd go with some sort of package deal though. Shuttle service available into Vail Village, not much open though right now.

Would recommend my friends to stay there.

Vail cascade always exceeds my expectations with the quality of their customer service. They make one feel like their patronage is important. They remember you from past stays and acknowledge you by name.

I keep coming back and recommending VCS to all of my friends because of the superb customer service!

Booked this with 4 other families for a lacrosse tournament weekend. Staff was very accommodating, even helping us fix our son's lacrosse stick. Bar staff took great care of us and all the kids. Pool and hot tub were at perfect temperatures for a cool spring day. All the staff were so helpful and nice.

This is a great hotel. Really clean, nice service. Great outdoor area to relax is. Nice bar and restaurant. Easy to get to the village summer or winter via bike or shuttle. Good with or without kiddos. I think the value is phenomenal. They run a lot if specials, so you can usually get a room for $125 unless it is high season.
