“i had a great night stay at the Vail Cascade”

i had a great night stay at the Vail Cascade! Spacious rooms. Perfect temp in the outdoor pool. staff was great! A nice option is that if you are on a budget you can self park and save on valet - although the valet service is affordable at $25/night and worth it in winter.

Room Tip: they are upgrading rooms right now - ask for a newly renovated one :)

Stayed over July 4th weekend. Arrived in the middle of an unexpected cloud burst. Valets were excellent. Complimentary self-parking was a nice option. Our room was lovely, spacious and inviting and overlooked the back lawn and river. Walkable to everything. If you're a skiier, it's perfect...ski-in/ski-out. Outstanding spa and fitness center. Nice restaurant and lounge, too. Summertime bonus: free movies in the evenings for the family displayed on a floating bigscreen in the pool!

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony that overlooks the river.

Wow, we went for a wedding and the trip was spectacular. The call color was beautiful, the service was great, the rooms were spacious and classy. We had a room with a view of the mountain and the gold trees along with the sound of the running water from the stream below. I took a nice nap on the bed with the french doors open and the cool breeze blowing in.

We booked a stay for opening ski weekend last year. My fiance is a skier, but it was my first time. We weren't sure where to stay, but saw the good reviews and got a great deal.

Vail Cascade far exceeded our expectations! The whole property was beautiful and cozy. The service was amazing- from the ski shop to the front desk to the shuttle drivers. Opening weekend is not the busiest time, so we had the hot tub to ourselves most nights- which is MUST for soaking sore ski muscles!

We had dinner our first night at the Atwater- just because we were exhausted and didn't want to leave the hotel, but OMG, its was fantastic! The breakfast buffet was also good.

The property also has a chair lift on site, which wasn't going when we were there since it was so early in the season, but it looked like it would be great to take off right from the side of the hotel.

We had a great time in Vail on a fall weekend while we stayed here. The colors were amazing. The hotel staff was very friendly, the food and drinks in the Fireside Bar were great and we were able to rent good bikes to ride on the path that goes right through the Vail area. Our room was a little small for a family of four, but we went on a discount during off-season. Also the outdoor heated saline pool was lovely but the hot tub was the same temp as the pool, which was a bit of a disappointment. They could have had bar service on the patio on the weekend and some heat lamps. I've been at similar resorts that are better equipped outside in the fall. Overall, however, this place was beautiful and is a very good choice for families.

Room Tip: If you are a family of four, you might want more than the basic, two bed room, which was a little sm...

Dear KRN0502,
Thank you for choosing to stay at Vail Cascade for your fall getaway from Boulder. It’s a great season to explore Colorado’s playground and it sounds like you and your family enjoyed the bike path adjacent to the resort. We appreciate you letting us know about the hot tub and temperature. We’ll make sure to check it immediately and get it heated at a more appropriate temperature. Thanks again for your feedback and recent review. Should you want to return for a winter escape, we hope you’ll consider us again. With ski in ski out convenience, we make it very easy to get on the slopes!

Everything was Great .... from the doormen/Valet guy at the front door to the banquet set-up crew that showed us the nearest elevator to the gentlemen who recommended the breakfast buffet and the housekeeping ladies who said hello! We also had a travelzoo special for the spa ... which was also very nice. :-) The breakfast buffet was execellent ... we ate there both mornings! Well worth the $17! :-) Also the dessert (we had blackcherry pie (I think that's what it was), triple choc. cake and 3 scoops of ice cream that were all homemade!) The choc. and pistachio ice cream were awesome! Well honestly it was all awesome and kind of had that Eurpeon flair as far as food/chefs! The hotel bldg itself was built in the 60's but some of the areas had a historical flair/feel to it.
The best part was we found out that the far wing is dog friendly! Can't wait to go back with the "boys!" (dogs)!

Room Tip: The far wing is dog friendly!

Dear awtwin,
Glad to hear you and your “boys” enjoyed your recent stay at Vail Cascade. After reading your review, I’m all of a sudden craving dessert from Atwater! Our chefs take great pride in their culinary creations so we’ll be sure to share your positive feedback with them. We do hope you revisit soon – winter is the greatest season and with our very own chairlift and ski valet, we offer the quickest way to get on the slopes. Glad to you hear you enjoyed our spa too! Did you know that Aria recently ranked 24th on Condé Nast’s list of “Top 100 Resort Spas”? We’re very proud of the numerous awards we receive each year, but reviews such as yours are a testament to why we all love what we do and more important than any accolade. If you chose to come back, please do not hesitate to let me know and I’d be happy to make your stay more enjoyable.

We asked for a mountain side room and were even upgraded to a room with a balcony. Our room overlooked the pool. Not sure that all rooms with a balcony have the amazing view we had. Breakfast was especially good with a good variety of food that was high quality. Fitness center worth the 25.00 resort fee, but if you don't take advantage of the fitness center or pool - resort fee might be a waste.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view over the pool!
