We stayed at the Vail Cascade Resort this weekend for a quick fall getaway. The hotel is in great shape. We loved all the fireplaces, the perfect view of the creek and the mountain behind the hotel. Our room was nice, with a balcony overlooking the creek. The pool is a nice touch, and the family enjoyed a swim one afternoon.
The shuttle was very convenient and we appreciated being able to enjoy some drinks with dinner and not have to worry about the short ride back to the room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the creek.

Dear Jen D,
Congratulations! You've discovered a "local secret"--Fall is indeed a fantastic time to visit. It's not uncommon to experience all four seasons during one stay, too, making autumn a truly special time. What a succinct and rewarding review to read! Thank you for publishing it on Trip Advisor. We hope that you will return again soon (hint: winter is just amazing here).

We just came back from our 2 nights stay at Cascade.
We first visited with our kids (10&14) in late March and we all had a blast. kids had fun at the pool and still talking about the place.
This time it was business (conference) and romantic gateway for 2 adults.
The resort is located at the west end of Vail , overlooking mountains and Gore Creek.
There is a shuttle service every 20 minutes to Lionshead and Vail village . You can also hike there using obsolutlt stunning trail. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Vail Vilage. If weather permits - try it- you will love it! So peaceful !
The resort is old, but well maintained .
Check in-1 minute. friendly, polite.
The bellboy- Joe- very friendly and helpful.
Our first room had some noise issue from air conditioner , he called front desk, switched the room and got us keys- all in about 5 minutes.
We had a courtyard view.
Pool- you can spend hours there- it's an infinity pool, overlooking the creek and mountains. The air is fresh and you cannot get enough... The fall was in the air. I didn't see anyone from the bar service this time. Back in March the waitress was running back and force, serving lunch, water and cocktails. We missed it this time, perhaps off season low on staff?!
We ate at the restorant Atwater twice- the service was ok, serving glass of Prosecco warm was unexpected and disappointing , we asked about it the manager and he brought new glass chilled. The food was great! Must ave steak!!!
We noticed that there waitresses aren't that well trained, if you sit at the bar lounge , you notice the same-distinctness ok service. We sat at the ar and bar attended was great, fast and friendly.
The spa- a must go place! What a blast! Thank you, Terri ( I hope I spelled your name right )
Nice 3 covered tennis courts ($30 fee). The gym was nice, with plenty equipment for fully booked hotel guests.
I did notice at check out that receptionist was working with us and, at the same time was talking to her coworkers about some flowers that got delivered to a wrong place. I found it unprofessional.
Lionshead looked deserved, the Vail village, on th their hand, was busy, sunny and happy. I just fell in love with Vail again.
Overall , I would recommend this hotel for coupes , business and families.
The changing colors of the trees, the perfect weather of 65-70 degrees made this stay unforgettable .

Dear kooku27
Thank you for taking the time to write a comprehensive review on TripAdvisor. We are thrilled to hear that this was your second visit and you had an unforgettable stay. From what it sounds like, you were able to enjoy our location, infinity-edge pool, food in Atwater and Aria Spa & Club. Did you know that Aria Spa recently ranked 24th on Condé Nast’s list of “Top 100 Resort Spas”? We take great pride in proving genuine service and hope you do return again. The temperatures are dropping and the leaves are changing, which means snow is soon to come and you’ll be able to use our chairlift! We hope you and your kids return for another Vail Cascade stay– please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly and I would be happy to assist you in making your next stay even more enjoyable.

We stayed here over the Labor Day weekend with other out of town / state friends for a wedding. Lovely location, nestled in a pretty spot at the west end of Vail. Friendly people, really good sized room - ours had a nice view towards the mountain side (chair lift) and creek. Free wi-fi. The pool was a nice surprise; depending on where your room is it can be a hike in and of itself :) We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great experience at Cascade. In addition to great accommodations, their in house restaurant - Atwater - is top notch. Our server, Lauren, made the meal great by guiding us through their beer and wine list to pair with their excellent steaks. If you visit Vail and are looking for a good steak in a great atmosphere - visit Atwater.

Dear John G,
Thank you for your recent review on Trip Advisor. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed Atwater on Gore Creek. Chef Todd Bemis and his culinary team work extremely hard to provide genuine Colorado cuisine and supreme service in a breathtaking environment. We’re pleased to offer Vail’s largest selection of craft beer and from it sounds like; you were able to enjoy a few. We appreciate your recommendation and invite you to come back and check out the new fall menu and specials!

Gorgeous hotel right on the creek with really great staff. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable- especially the concierge who recommended a hike to waterfalls just down the road.

The property itself is really nice and it's a little outside the commotion of the Vail village but there's a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes so you can get into the center pretty quickly.

Would definitely recommend staying here again.
Free parking- across the parking lot!
