Excellent service. Went there twice during the off-ski season. Still the same great service. Quiet location. Close to everything.

We recently visited this first-class hotel and loved it! We visited on a Living Social deal, and were able to upgrade to a mountain view room. It was very nice! Great view from our balcony, and had the wonderful sound of Gore Creek running outside of our room all night long! The room was very comfortable, and we loved all the little extras, especially in the bath and shower area. The atmosphere within the hotel, bar and dining areas is exceptional. High ceilings and mirrors, along with very comfortable fireplace setting make this a wonderful respite after a day in the Colorado High Country. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, Atwater at Gore Creek, and were not disappointed. I had the Grilled Scottish Salmon, and my fiancee had the Angus Pub Burger....both were awesome!! We also took a walk along Gore Creek, and it was beautiful either direction that you decide to head out. We plan on going back in September to view the aspen-covered mountainside when it turns a gorgeous shade of gold!
Glad to hear that you loved your recent visit to Vail Cascade and are planning to return again for the fall colors. No matter what time of year, Vail is always a great place to vacation! And with a quick and convenient drive from Highlands Ranch, it’s definitely the perfect place to beat the heat and escape from the city. Please let me know if there’s anything we can do to make your next visit even more memorable.
Thanks again for the great review!
The room was clean and beautiful. Clean sheets. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Highly recommended! I visited this property with a Living Social voucher and was offered an upgrade to the large room with beautiful creekside view for only $10 more. So glad we came!
We love to hear that our Colorado residents stay at Vail Cascade. With so many Coloradans working at Vail Cascade, we take great pride in providing an authentic, Colorado experience. We’re thrilled to hear you had an excellent time and took advantage of our beautiful setting. Our creekside rooms sometimes make you feel as though you’re literally in the river! Thanks for your review; we really appreciate the positive feedback.
And when it gets too hot down in Westminster, we hope you come back up to get some relief.
Thanks, Brett Schoenfield
Reviewed this hotel thoroughly before choosing to stay there with my wife and two kids. It was everything everyone said it was and more!
The multiple fire pits created a warm ambience and made a really great place to make s'mores with the kids. The dive-in movie on Friday and Saturday nights were fun and appropriate for my 5 and 7 year-olds. Make sure you bring a blanket or wear something warm. It is the Rockies, after all.
Everything would have been perfect except our bed was a little too soft and we all had a bit of a hard time sleeping at night. The service was excellent. The hotel and room were stellar and next to godliness. I loved the library and the flat screen TV. I watched the Celtics beat the Sixers while my kids watched Rio at the dive-in movie (safely on chairs, I might add).
The location was perfect. We had a nice family walk to Lionshead and watched wildlife, fishermen and fisherwomen, and followed the stream all the way to some great eats. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vail. The heated pool, the hot hot tubs, the view made you feel as if you were sitting right on the side of the river (mainly because you are): the entire experience was heavenly and all you want from a mountain resort.
Book this hotel and you won't be disappointed. Take it from someone who demands a lot from his resort experience.
Dear Mark B,
Coming from an avid traveler such as yourself, we are glowing with pride after reading your review. As one of Vail’s most family-friendly hotels, we take a lot of consideration in how we cater to families, and children specifically. We love hearing feedback from parents and learning how we can improve our kid’s program. And even with comprehensive programming and activities, it never ceases to amaze us how our setting alongside Gore Creek is the number one attraction when staying at Vail Cascade. There’s really nothing like it. Again, we appreciate your review and are honored to have your recommendation.
Thanks, Brett Schoenfield
My husband and I stayed here for one night after spending time with friends in Edwards, Colorado. In my opinion, it's the best ski-in, ski-out for your money in Vail. There is no lift line and you're on the mountain without dealing with parking and walking in ski boots. However, the best part of this hotel has to be apres-ski in the hot tub and/or heated infinity pool. Our room was a little far from the lobby but had a lovely dormer window overlooking the creek and mountain, which could be opened for fresh air and the relaxing sound of water rushing by in the creek. The staff was fantastic and allowed an early check-in (around 8 in the morning) so we could get skiing early. We used the convenient shuttle at night for dining in Vail since the hotel is a little outside the villages. Tip-sign up for emails from the hotel; they regularly send notices of special rates. I was very happy with the rate we paid using Hotwire, and even happier that our "secret hotel" was the Vail Cascade!
Thank you for your recent review on TripAdvisor. It’s always a pleasure to hear that our staff was fantastic. As the only Four Diamond ski in ski out resort in Vail, we take great pride in providing easy, convenient, and fast access to Vail Mountain, especially if you take advantage of our complimentary ski concierge service. Glad to hear you enjoyed our hot tubs and infinity pool, especially after a day on the slopes – so relaxing! Hope you return again soon, maybe this summer?
Vail Cascade Resort
Went to the resort in the summer months and it is pretty empty. The weather was amazing. Spent time by the amazing pool and on the decks reading. Upgraded room to a view of the mountain with a deck. The trail by the hotel is not a long walk up to the main town. It will take about 45 minutes to walk both ways. If you are dressed up for dinner take the shuttle bus. The service was amazing. Because it was off season the restaurant had a deal for dinner to keep us at the hotel. Best food of the week was actually at the resort. Worth the price. Didn't go to the spa. Room was clean and super comfy. One coffee shop in the morning with bagels, etc. Took forever to stand in line.
