Vail Cascade is the perfect location to enjoy the entire Vail Valley. The staff is totally service oriented and very responsive to meet all requests. The property is one of the cleanest I've ever visited; both hotel rooms and all common areas. The shuttle service is fantastic and we hardly used our rental car. We only had one negative: dinner at Atwater. Overall though our stay was perfect and a great value. we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Vail Cascade!

Room Tip: request a room with a view of the Gore Creek

This property, while a short walk from the Vail buzz, offers a peace and calm sitting right next to a river. We were offered an upgrade (additional charge) to a mountain view, which we gladly accepted. You can hear the river and the breeze through the pines and aspens from the bedroom windows (which actually open!!). Heavenly! The hotel is exceptionally clean and well staffed. The Saturday brunch was good, but service by Mary was outstanding. You can hop aboard a shuttle into town and back at no charge. We enjoyed time in the evening by the fire (outdoors) while our kids swam in the infinity pool nearby. Can't wait to return!

We made our first visit to Vail and stayed at the Vail Cascade last December and it was horrible. I won't go into all the problems but suffice to say we pre-paid for 5 days and left after 3. We wrote a pretty scathing review on our family travel blog and I copied the hotel by email on our dissatisfaction. A few days later, I got a call from a manager and he listened to my complaints and accepted nearly all of them and spoke to me about why they occurred and what he was doing to fix them. He was disappointed that we had paid for 2 days that we didn't use and offered to give us a 2-day gift certificate to give them another try. We accepted but didn't plan to take him up on his offer.

In July, my mother-in-law came to visit us from Russia and wanted to see the mountains so we decided to book a long weekend at the Vail Cascade again. Well, we're glad we did. It's still unclear to me whether the problems we had before were just a confluence of bad events or if the resort made some changes and improved under new direction -- but the end result is we had a great time and received great service.

Our two-year old loved the pool and mom couldn't get enough of sitting in the comfy lounge chairs 40 yards from the scenic, rushing river. The staff was courteous and the suite was clean and comfortable. Overall, our Vail visit was a hit and we would now return again to the Cascade Resort.
