We were attracted by a wholesale last minute deal. 1/2 the rooms are right next to Interstate 70 so if you want to cool your room, w/o AC, it's loud. Surprisingly dated furnishings from the 70's for a three bedroom penthouse, no hair dryers, no iorn or ior ing boards, no queen or king beds, only twin and double beds. Location is great, parking in the Village lot in summer is free. Pool is outside which is good, yet small. Indoor and outdoor whirlpools look okay.

Management response:Responded July 10, 2012

We are sorry to hear that your recent experience with us didn’t meet your expectations, as well as ours. With the extreme heat and tremendously busy Holiday we understand how the heat and noise affected your stay with us. I’m sorry the amenities we should have had in the unit were not there, as this is not acceptable. This has been brought to our Housekeeping Departments attention. Feel free to reach out to me and I will be happy to ensure your next stay exceeds your expectations. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention; the feedback you provided is appreciated.

Thank you for your response.

Great location...steps from covered bridge leading into the heart of Vail Village. Super friendly staff. Clean, nicely furnished. Our condo did not have air conditioning so we slept with open windows and there is a LOT of noise outside late at night. We were there during a very busy summer week but if you are a light sleeper you might want to take that into consideration!

Mountain Haus was the perfect place for our stay during a lacrosse tournament. Our one-bedroom condo was very well appointed, with a small balcony overlooking the fountain at the entrance to Vail Village. We were impressed with the service and amenities at this reasonably priced property. A generous breakfast was included in our package along with use of laundry services (important when you have a lacrosse player and hot weather) and free movie rentals. There is no air conditioning, so it can be a little noisy at night with windows open. Parking was free and very convenient.

My favorite thing about the stay was the friendly, helpful staff (have to mention Shelly; she is wonderful). I do not remember any hotel where I have been made to feel so welcome. The beds were very comfortable, the hotel was extremely clean, and the location couldn't be better. The hotel provided a very nice bathrobe, free movie rental, and some snacks. Loved the fact that there was a laundry room. The complementary breakfast was really great.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the creek side.

I've been to a couple other hotels in Vail, and the Mountain Haus is the only one that has kept me coming back. They have a great indoor jaccuzzi, OUTDOOR pool! (very warm!), spa with massages. The rooms are all different and the decor is very unique to Colorado mountains. I recommend not getting a room that has a window in one of the bedrooms that looks out in the center opening above the bar, as it can be very loud at night.
Great location, close to the slopes, and fresh, hot cookies brought out every afternoon.
Great great great overall experience. This place has kept me and my family coming back for years.

Room Tip: Rooms with a mountain view are quieter, as they are not right above the street. Also rooms that don't have a bedroom window that look out into the center above the bar are ALOT quieter!
