Had such a great time taking our teenagers to Adventure Ridge! From the Gondola ride overlooking the amazing beauty of Vail to the zip line, it was well worth the money. Especially appreciated the staff on the zip line. I must admit I was a bit anxious and the crew that ran the zip line made me feel relaxed. Austin told me exactly what to expect and was very knowledgeable and funny. I would highly recommend the zip line. The next time I think we'd like to ride the mountain bikes down in addition, we just couldn't fit it all in on this trip.

If you are afraid of heights or are bothered by turbulent airplane rides, then you should avoid the motor tour. It's a bumpy and dusty 45 minutes up to and across the top of the mountain. Great views of Vail Valley and Holy Cross mountain, although the views from the starting point at Adventure Ridge are almost as good. The driver gives some information and history but much of it was incomprehensible above the noise of the engine. The road is narrow in places and a few feet from steep drops.

Adventure Ridge is great! It is a must do activity for anyone visiting Vail. If you can, hike up the mountain to get to the top or take the gondola. The ropes course at the top is great for all ages. Think we loved it as much as the kids. There is a play area for kids, a small museum, a dino dig. The zipline was ok. I did not think it was that thrilling for the $123 we paid for the zipline and ropes course. Once up there you can get a drink or food and look out over the mountain. There is a great lookout deck. You can climb the rest of the way to the top of the mountain. Taking the gondola back down the mountain is free. We had a great time at Adventure Ridge. Great use of the mountain in summer. Staff everywhere at Adventure Ridge was great. The bartender made recommendations on drinks, the grill was fast. The ropes courses people were great at making you feel comfortable and enforcing safety. The zip line crew was fun. On the hike up I even saw guides who were helping people figure out where to go. Highly suggest this activity if you are with family, by yourself, couples, no matter the age. There is something for everyone from just sitting and having a drink to look out the mountain after riding the gondola to hiking and adrenaline rush activities.

My daughter did the zip line and loved that. We hikes from Vail gondola to the Lionshead gondola and it was beautiful! We loved our lunch on adventure ridge (BBQ) and the Gondola rides. The gondola rides from the villages fool you....it looks like it doesn't go up very far but trust me, there is a whole lot you cannot see! Worth the visit!!

We didn't actually get to tube because it was quickly sold out on the days we tried. Buying advance tickets was inconvenient and we got inaccurate information over the phone. Unless you want to pay a hefty fee for the gondola, you need to plan to tube on a day when you are also skiing. So it's not a cost effective activity when you take a day off from skiing.
