“Lots of character, very good mocha”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

I'd read good reviews of this place, so we stopped in on our way through town during a road trip. I'm glad we had our GPS to get us there, but the short detour is worth it just to see Trinidad's neat downtown...older buildings, brick-paved roads, etc. This coffee house's building was cool and interesting, and the fact that my German chocolate mocha was really tasty was icing on the cake. Would love to return anytime we pass through town.

“Off the beaten path, great little eatery. Good coffee for road!”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

While driving I-25 across Colorado, we wanted to stop in Trinidad for supper. On the way to a national chain in downtown, we saw this local eatery in a restored red brick building with brick streets in the old part of Trinidad. The catchy name sounded good. We fed two adults and three teens. All happy. The kids had burgers, one turkey, one bison, and a grilled cheese, all with sides. Adults had salads with grilled chicken. All for a reasonable price. Good service, and the owner stopped to chat.
The drivers got coffee to go, since we had another five hours drive time. They have a wide selection of coffees and teas.
Last but not least, clean restrooms. The whole place is spic and span.
This was one of those serendipity finds, we got to support a local independent business - and enjoy the experience of seeing how Trinidad, CO is renovating its old downtown.
