Probably the worst steak I have ever had, a chainsaw would have struggled to cut through it. The cocktails were very poor, the lighting was very poor and the whole experience wasn't very nice. Very expensive for substandard food and service. Don't waste your money or your time.

Not a bad hotel if you manage your expectations. I stayed in a superior room with oceanview on the 17th floor with great view. The room itself needed some painting and modernisation but it was clean and had a big fridge and electric kettle for making your own coffee. Nice balcony with 2 chairs and a table, all basic. The airco worked very well but makes some noice. There is a free safe on the room. I found the bed very comfortable and I had clean sheets everyday. The girl who did my room was very friendly and cleaned it daily very well, she made a huge possitive difference! I did not use the pools or breakfast so no comment on that but there are many small restaurants in the neighbourhood and the beach is just across the street. Staff in generally were friendly and helpfull although they forgot to bring my suitcase upstairs so it was standing in the lobby against a wall, anyone could have taken it I guess and after an hour waiting I took it myself. I paid around 35 euroos a night so very cheap and for that reason price/ quality was ok. The hotel is located at the quite part if jomtien but there are many bathbuses driving up and down the road. Would I book it again? I certainly would consider it.

Booked in a night - 2 adults and 2 kids so we booked two rooms and asked for adjoining rooms. Price was about 2000 baht each - I was shown a disgusting room on the second floor with my kids' room across the hall. Both were equally gross. Broken floor, stains on the walls and the smell was horrific. I refused to stay in that room. They showed us another and it was on the 5th floor and it was pretty gross as well. Kids' room miles away. They said if I upgraded then I could stay in a suite. It was nice - two bedrooms, on the 22cd floor. I had to pay an extra 3500 baht for it. So it cost 7500 for one night. It was ridiculous. Staff were rude and I would never go back again.

I am a solo traveler and I stayed at the D varee for two nights, I booked the room on the 2nd floor which are the cheaper rooms without any sea views but the room was quite large had a comfortable bed and there was good facilities in the room when you consider they are the cheapest options, there was an extensive choice of channels on the TV including Astra sports and also for English speaking films, there is free tea and coffee, hair dryer, safe inside the wardrobe. The deco and the furniture in these cheaper rooms disparately in need of an upgrade but for the price you pay I guess one shouldn’t complain. The pool on the 5th floor is excellent with a nice area to relax and plenty of loungers. I did not have the breakfast but the reviews I read were positive. As for the Location it is at the far end near the beach road but a long walk to the main centre or you can hop on a Sontel i.e. small bus.
My dealing with staff was good from the security to the receptionist, and chamber maids. So overall I would book this hotel again but one of the more expensive rooms.
