Ive just stayed at this 'hotel' for 9 nights after arriving a few days earlier than expected. I booked a Junir Suite and was told i had one, it turned out i didnt, but i was offered what i was told was a 'special rate' it might have been for a suite but not for the room i received, however, it was sufficient to stay for the amount of time, the mini bar was quite cheapish, but everything was OUT OF DATE, i told reception but in 9 days nothing happened to it, not my problem its just i would have drunk it dry everyday so they only lost out on money. i went to one of the many millions of 7 elevens and saved even more.
there is no food on site which is a shame they have plenty of room for a nice continental brekky area.
never used the tiny pool/terrace.
the house keeping staff are amazing, they really looked after me and vice versa, even got a lovely thank you and hug on my check out.
The show.... well it is you would expect, miming!! except for one guy who something live, which was very nice... its all big colourful costumes (on the lead mimist) but entertaining to watch, however they say there is no cover charge but jeez you are stung for a bottle. 130 baht for a singha, other bars charge between 40-60 baht so effectively you are being charged but it is hidden in the drinks prices, and then after the show they hang around for tips.
the service staff are nice, one didnt smile the whole time i was there, he needs to go. but the others are brill and nice and funny.
The hotel is 5 mins from the Beach, and Baht Buses are 2 mins walk away which is very handy to pattaya 10-20baht depending how far you travel. twice they tried to rip me off, he asked for a hundred.. i soon told him where to go, he said he would call the police i said 'fine, i will wait' he drove off.
i was looking forward to a nice chat with the owners but never got to see them unfortunately.
there is a really nice local restaurant called 'spring onion' its sooo cheap for lovely delicious Thai food and they will make the food to your liking with the spices. up to 80 baht for curry and rice.
I would stay here again it was nice, and peaceful. even with the show on you couldnt hear an awful lot and i was on the 3rd floor.
Enjoy your stay but dont expect an awful lot..
there is a lovely restaurant on the beach road called Akvavit about 10 mins from the hotel, it is a must and is advertised on channel pattaya one. find it and have a nice evening.
they are doing hotel rooms to a very high standard soon, so i will be checking it out. The owner and Executive chef is called pelle pettersson and makes it his pride to welcome you.
