“great food and good ambiance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Although a bit pricey this is a very enjoyable place to spend an evening. Our party of four sat out on the rear patio under the Aspens which was very pleasant. I had the Rainbow trout dish which was excellent. Bass dish was also great. Molten chocolate desert to die for

“Great Meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night which is Mussels and Martinis night. Was very excited expecting an array of different types of mussel dishes but was disappointed to know that they only offer one. Mussels and Martini nights is get one martini and one order or mussels or calamari for $15.00. Not a bad deal but was expecting more variety. Dinner was excellent but desserts could be improved.

“Second time is a charm”

Had a wonderful experience the first time. Chose to dine alfresco on the back patio during mild June night. Both my husband and I were very satisfied with the seafood choices. Mouth watering dishes and great service.

“Imaginative Dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

221 South Oak offered a very imaginative and inventive menu. For the most part we enjoyed the food, but a couple of dishes fell short in either the portion or taste department. Fig and rabbit tortellini appetizer was delicious, but $10 for three little nickel sized tortellini left us a little stung. Chorizo dusted pork tenderloin sounded delicious, but turned out bland and salty. More successful dishes were striped bass with corn and bacon pipade and lamb chop with radish tomato salsa dishes. Watermelon salad with fired onions was an unusual treat that I liked but others not as much. Cherry bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream was a big hit. We dined on their rear outdoor patio which was pleasant but it got a little cold as the evening went on. That dinner here was a hit or miss experience for us left us a bit disappointed.
