This is the second time we've stayed at the Manitou for a ski vacation. The location is awesome... And the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

Room Tip: If you like to cook some of your own meals, room 7 has a kitchenette and a great view of the river!

This Is the best place to stay.
Plan on a few days worth every moment.
Easy walking to everything Telluride has to offer and parking just a few feet away from the B&B.
Lots to see in this historical town.
Don't forget the camera or video recorder.
Will be back many times

Room Tip: Come early and enjoy.

We have so enjoyed staying at the Manitou whenever we visit Telluride. This quaint little bed and breakfast is a quick jaunt to the Gondola, downtown, the Library or skate park. Our kids Love this place and we would never stay anywhere else!

We were looking for an affordable place to stay in Telluride and initially picked this for it's price and location. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. It's not the over the top luxury of some spots in Telluride. But the location can't be beat. Walking distance to all of downtown and around the corner from the gondola. Also the room was cute and comfortable. The bed was amazing, and with the window open to the river just outside, it was a wonderful nights sleep. Not your usual boring hotel room. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but it took the edge off until we felt like heading out to have a hearty "second breakfast". We will definitely stay there again.

After a 3 day stay at this property, I cannot concur with the classification as a "bed & breakfast", nor ranking it anything more than a single star, two at tops. It is essentially a youth hostel. Little more than a building with a number of small rooms, where you check in four blocks away & never see them again. The security is questionable- no keys, just cipher locks, & no way to lock your room from somebody with the code entering once you're inside. Weird. Old, stained & smelly carpeting and bedspreads. $1 pillows. A bathroom so small you have to stand on one leg to turn around. A continental breakfast ok but with inadequate space to eat it. The ski lockers are not secure. Parking is iffy- don't stay on a Tuesday or Wednesday as there is no place to park, & the goofy little township of Telluride is completely anal about writing parking tickets & towing cars. Be careful booking more than a night or two- the 9,000' altitude leads to alot of altitude sickness. If you must go to Telluride & its $100 lift tickets- & there are many better alternatives with better skiing & more comfortable surroundings- then pay a little more & get into something nicer. Do avoid the mountain village- it's another 600' up & makes AS an even bigger problem- there is a free gondola to get there whenever you feel like it, & there isn't a whole lot there but alot of concrete, a few more restaurants and hotels.

Room Tip: Avoid this property unless you are broke.

We enjoyed five nights at the Manitou B&B. The location was perfect! We parked the car upon arrival and didn't drive it until we packed it to head home. The B&B is located right next to the river and river path that leads to the gondola. It's only about a 4 minute walk to the gondola and lift ticket window. You can walk to historic downtown restaurants, shops, grocery, etc.

We stayed in a loft room. It was very clean and cozy. The tempurpedic bed was soooo comfortable. The bathroom had a really nice new shower. The in-room fridge was convenient for snacks and beverages. The riverside hot tub was so welcoming at the end of a big day skiing.

The staff was incredible friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again!

There were 4 of us that stayed 1 night here. You could not ask for a better location and the breakfast was nice as well. The only thing to be wary of is when you're sleeping more than 2 and pull out the sleeper sofa that things are a little tight.
