Reserved a table at this place due to the good reviews. Unfortunately it was nothing memorable. It was just average and took FOREVER to get drinks.

We went for dinner and the food was very good! I ordered pork tacos and they were amazing super spicy though so if you dont like spicy food thats not for you. We also ordered the bacon chive balls and they are to die for. The beers are good too.

Dined for lunch and for dinner at this corner location on Pine Street. Evidently this is the only brewery in town. Short walk from lodging areas offers comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff at lunch BUT not for dinner. Food and beer selections good. Burgers are better options. The macaroni and cheese was not very good (pasty). The Smuggler-Union salad was a bit skimpy on the strawberries and very heavy on candied nuts. The tablespoon of goat cheese needs improvement. There was twice as much goat cheese on our friend's side salad to his burger. Lunch time wait person (Rayo) was very pleasant and helpful. Dinner wait person (Mary) was not so very pleasant, and once took order was no where to be seen. Dinner plates delivered by another person and had to get another wait person to go get Mary so we could get our bill. Uneven service and food.

Meat unseasoned, both burger and chicken. Would expect a burger topped with multiple chiles to have flavor. Chicken sandwich had unsalted chicken and breading, totally bland to the point of being almost inedible. The fast food chicken sandwich we had at the Festival the day before was tastier and much less expensive. Beer and appetizer were good. Service was below par and not what I expect when paying these prices. Waitress walked by my empty beer glass at least 4 times before asking if I wanted a second. Staff who brought food to table did not speak or smile or acknowledge us in any meaningful way, literally slammed ketchup and mustard down on table. Not a lot of options to eat in Telluride on a busy Festival weekend, wouldn’t avoid it entirely, but don’t go in with high expectations.

We went into this hipster restaurant to have a late lunch. We waited at the hostess station for over 15 minutes! No one came to seat us although several staff members passed by. There also was a stench of marijuana prevalent in the restaurant that I did not find conducive to eating a good meal. We left!

Hello,

We apologize profusely that you had to wait at the host stand for such an extended amount of time. I believe that evening we were closed for a private wedding event and many of the staff members were busy moving furniture and getting ready for the evening, although that is no excuse for someone to not speak to a guest that is patiently waiting at the door. Please email us at smugglerunion@gmail.com and provide us with more details regarding your experience at our host stand so that we can discuss this with the staff members who were working that day. We hope you will give us another opportunity to come and dine with us in the future. Please let us know when you are coming in and we will be sure to provide you with a VIP expirience.

Thank you,

Lauren Oliver - General Manager
