Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our room, but found it a little small for a family of four with ski stuff. Restaurant was very good (we only enjoyed breakfasts there). Shuttle service to and from the gondola was great. Cookies every afternoon were a big hit with the kids. Happy hour (2 for 1 beer) was a big hit with the adults. Parking was very tight, and is to be avoided if possible. Overall we loved our stay here.

The staff is very freindly. and we never had a worry...they took care of everything we needed. They were helpful before, during, and after our stay.

Since it was our first time to Telluride, I had some uncertainty about where to stay and how to get around the area, so I called them, even before I made reservations, and they spent time with me on the phone, helping me understand all the aspects regarding where they were located in reference to the ski area and downtown. They advised me about the logistics of getting around town (both local transportation and their hotel shutte) and about skiing (rentals, lift tickets, ski school, and more). I considered other locations closer to the gondola, but ultimately decided that The Hotel Telluride was the right place for us...we wanted nice lodging, with a family atmosphere, and knew we needed the benefits of a hotel (conceierge, shuttles, on-site dining, etc.). I am glad we chose The Hotel Telluride.

During the stay, the staff was very accomodating with everything from luggage and ski equipment storage to food, shuttles, and more. The staff is excellent and the hotel has everything we needed. The on-site restraunt, although small, was generally big enough to accomodate the guests. The menu is somewhat limited, but suited our needs just fine (even with a picky 10-year-old). Along with the every-day menu, they also offered nightly specials that expanded the menu choices. The quality of the food was outstanding, the taste was very good, and the personal service (direct access to the chef) was another bonus. We dined at "The Nook" for a warm breakfast each day, and for dinner 3 of the 4 nights we were in town.

During the peak times of the day, the shuttle service was still accomodating. Typically, we were able to depart the hotel as soon as we got to the lobby. If there was a wait, it was brief (under 5 minutes). The time or 2 that we had to wait longer (either coming or going) was simply due to the time of day, and the limited # of seats in the Expedition, however, the wait was not excessive. They were able to carry all our ski equipment and 6-8 passengers at a time.

We were very satisfied with our stay, but after our visit, we were contacted by the hotel because we left an article of clothing in the room. They offered to coordinate the shipping to us...that was awesome. I have never had a hotel contact me after a stay to do something like that.

We highly recommend The Hotel Telluride and will seriously consider it again when visting Telluride.

It may seem silly to put all fives on the review, but this hotel really hit the mark. They really know how to accommodate their skiing/snowboarding guests. There is a free shuttle that runs all day till pretty late, which took us with all our gear right to the gondola or anywhere else we needed to go in town. At the end of the day they pick you up and store your gear. The hotel is just a short walk from downtown telluride with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. They had two large hot tubs that felt great after a day of riding. We both got wonderful massages at the hotel. The fresh baked cookies in the afternoon were also a nice treat! The rooms were nice and spacious and clean. Soft pillows on a warm soft bed helped us sleep comfortably. Ipod dock in the room. Good food at the restaurant.

The staff were so impressive. Always happy to answer a question or provide a suggestion for things to do. They could not have been more helpful. We would go back in a heartbeat!

It's not on the mountain, but an easy walk into the town plus an ubiquitous shuttle that gets you to and from the lifts any time, made this the perfect place to stay in Telluride. The staff culd not have been friendlier or more helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and (except when the party on the level above announced the end of his ski day by dropping his boots on the floor from 10 feet) quiet. Excellent breakfasts and a neat little bar - the Nook - were perfect brackets to wonderful days on a very well-managed ski hill.

The hotel has a very friendly staff. They offer a free shuttle that takes you all over Telluride Village and to the gondola. The rooms are VERY clean. The bed was super comfortable and had awesome heavy blankets. It was so quiet and very restful! They stored our skis for us and had them ready in the morning and dropped us at the gondola. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and the gondola, but the free shuttle is available if you are not up for walking. The only thing I wish they has was the ability to rent movies in room. We were worn out one night and would have preferred to stay in and order pizza.

This is not a grand resort hote; more of a boutique style and the service was top notch all the way from the time I made reservations through check out. All staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Location is great; just a few blocks from mainstreet; easy walk or available (and free) hotel shuttle service.

very little to dislike about his hotel. Charming, beautiful lobby with seats to have your wine or coffee, good attentive staff, comfortable rooms, location in central Telluride (do NOT stay in ugly Mountain Village), close to airport and ski lifts. Restaurant could use more atmosphere and menu selection.
