“A nice hike in the off season”

Telluride Ski & Golf Club

Owner description: Keeping your eye on the ball and off the towering peaks surrounding the Telluride Golf Club may be your toughest challenge when teeing off at this breathtaking course, perched 9,500 feet above sea level. This par 70, 6,574 yard, 18 hole mountain resort course is surrounded by the highest concentration of 14,000 foot mountains in the United States. While the breathtaking beauty may be a distraction, the altitude works to your advantage as Telluride's air creates less resistance against the golf ball during flight, translating to longer drives and breathtaking beauty.

“A nice hike in the off season”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

We rode up and hiked around on the trails that were open. Took some cool pictures and played disc golf instead nearby.

“Great luxury resort for skiers....with panoramic views!”
Reviewed March 25, 2014

You really can't beat the scenic views of this luxury ski resort. The lift lines are short and the runs are well maintained. Plenty of terrain for skiers. This is not a great resort for boarders as the terrain lends itself more to skiers , which I do both.

People who work here are genuinely happy and helpful which makes the visit even more enjoyable. This is a luxury resort and that is what you are paying for.......luxury.

“No goldilocks...”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Beautiful we'll groomed wide open trails. "Can't get here by accident" is the visitors motto. This makes it a less crowded mountain for skiing, boarding and all things ski resort.

“Excellent skiing, food and mountain views”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

I spent the weekend skiing here, taking in the mountain views, and eating at the local restaurants. The skiing and snow conditions were excellent. The mountain is meticulously groomed, and offers a wide variety of skiing terrain that is served by more than a dozen or so ski lifts. The mountain has an insane selection of mogul runs with varying pitch angles and technical obstacles. I've visited many ski resorts, and I've never seen so many wide ski trails and moguls! The area is somewhat lacking in advanced terrain (single black diamonds), but offers plenty of beginner, intermediate and extreme terrain areas to keep one busy. The food at most of the restaurants is very competitive in quality, and the area has unbelievable views of the mountains. Do I plan to return to Telluride? Absolutely!

“Shredding the Slopes on Snowbikes”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

A few of my friends and I came to Telluride for a bachelor weekend. One of the days were we there we took a snowbike lesson with Eco Adventures. It was so much fun. Snowbikes are like regular bikes, but instead of wheels, they have skis. You wear small skis on your feet, called snowblades, and they have ones that fit onto ski boots and snowboard boots, which was perfect for our mixed group. After several days of skiing the same runs, we wanted to change things up a bit, and this was a really fun new experience. The lesson took less than 2 hours and we were free to cruise the mountain for the rest of the day. During the lesson we learned how to control the bikes and how to take them on the lifts. It was extremely easy to learn, and our instructor Eric was super knowledgable about snowbiking and everything else Telluride related. After the lifts closed we went to the ticket office and got snowbike certification cards with our pictures on them. Now, if we go to other resorts that offer snowbiking, or come back to Telluride, we can skip the lesson and rent bikes. I definitely plan on snowbiking again on my next trip to Telluride. It was one of the most fun parts of our trip.
