This is a great hike, with the trail head right in town. Devote about 3 hours for the trip up and down. The view are spectacular, and the people on the trail all greeted us with smiles and friendly hellos. This is a well used trail, it will not be private but that does not take away from the experience. A true joy is coming across the 'rock garden' along the stream. It is where thousands of cairns have been setup everywhere but hikers. Balancing on fallen trees, along larger rocks, and in the grass. It feels like a statue garden, it is a very reflective place, even spiritual. Highly recommend building your own cairn or adding to the ones already standing.
