“Great hotel”

Good sized rooms and bathrooms. We had a king corner unit facing town and mountains. The room has an electric fireplace and a nice balcony. The beds and pillows are terrific. Good HD TV. Lots of little things make a difference. Breakfast area with a view. Heated pool. Sauna. Seating area. Nice accessories in the bath but there is a lack of counter space. Nice easy chair but I would had preferred a loveseat. Chairs at table worn out. No refrigerator which is needed. Super location which is only 2 blocks from the Main Street and the free Gondola is right next store. Parking was below the building and very convenient. Highly recommended by us.

Although it's mountain location seems far away from a camel's habitat, Camel's Garden Hotel perfectly understands what a traveler wants.
It's top location in Telluride next to the (free) gondola makes the move from 'sleep to do' a breeze. The hotel did not save to get the basics right. Top notch pillow top beds, beautiful bathroom with oversized bath tub get you re-energized. Free breakfast with quality Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea as well as good pastries and you know this is a hotel that actually understands that these simple ingredients is what it should be about. Also included free WiFi, wide screen TV, music player, in-room fire place.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms are big, and I understand all rooms are big

Great location, just in the centre of Telluride and near the Gondola. Large and comfortable room, quiet. The breakfast is alright but there's nobody to help you. Anyway you can help yourself. I can't say that it's a friendly hotel but it is clean and very well located.

Camels Garden provides a convenient and comfortable location within steps of the gondola to access mountain hiking and skiing. Walk 2 blocks to the main street with dozens of restaurants and bars. Continental breakfast with good choices provided each morning. Spa, sports bar and rental shop on property.

Room Tip: Higher rooms on the left side of the property will get you a view of the waterfall in summer

We spent 3 nights at Camel's. the facility is very nice....parking is provided in the garage. The are several very good restaurants in short walking distance. The staff is very helpful. There is a continental breakfast provided but absolutely no protein.

We had a great stay. I loved the cherry furniture in the rooms. The staff was great. And, compared to other hotels we paid a similar price Camel's Garden was by far the best value.
The steam room and outdoor very large hottub were great. 100 feet from the gondola!

I booked a room for one night, July 5, for my wife's birthday. I thought it was expensive at over $300 for the night even by Telluride standards. When we arrived at the hotel after a long day of hiking we were greeted and checked in quickly. Our room exceeded our expectations. Large, comfortable and quite. Even though our window opened out to a walking trail when we closed the window at night it was quiet. The breakfast in the morning was good for a continental breakfast but with another all day hike in front of us we wanted something more substantial.
I understand the holiday weekend may have had something to do with the rates but I can recommend the hotel been at $300!
