This hotel is steps from the gondola in town close to many restaurants and shops. They provide storage for skis and dryers for boots. The room is large with many windows. The bed is soft with down accessories. The bathroom is large and has a heated floor. We had plenty of large towels and a heated towel rack. My only complaint was that the flat screen tv was too low on the wall. That said it was still a great room. The price included a wonderful breakfast and hot drinks after skiing. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The management was very helpful when our arrival was delayed. I will definitely return.

Just returned from a 5 day stay in Telluride. I lodged at the Hotel Columbia; what a great place!

Pros: Great location, great staff, great rooms, very clean, heated bathroom floors, bed was nice, and the Cosmopolitan Restaraunt is also onsite.

Cons: Like everywhere in Telluride, Parking is a bit sparce. $20/night for Valet...but well worth it if you have to drive in town.

Perks: Complimentary Internet and Breakfast.

Would I stay again? Yes indeed!!

Stayed at the Hotel Columbia over the holidays. Because of the lack of fresh snow, we were able to pick up a last minute/late booking deal. The recent remodel of the hotel combined with the incredibly helpful staff and excellent location, made for a great week great! Hope you enjoy!

Room Tip: The back of the hotel has better views however it be a bit noisy with restaurant down below and the...

The management and staff at the Columbia will bend over backwards to insure their guests have a wonderful stay. Staying at the Columbia is akin to being on a high end cruise ship - the accomodation is superb (great bed), the restaurant (Cosmos) is between very good and mind boggling both with their food and wine list, and the location is the best in town for skiing or putzing around the old town or Telluride. The hotel is also pet friendly - for a nominal charge you can bring your dog and they'll even help out by walking or feeding your dog.

Where else can you find that?

They also have valet parking which insures your car doesn't end up in a mind meld with a snow plow.

Check the specials offered on their website - amazing value when available - but even at retail this place is a superb experience!

Room Tip: Room with a fire place is great during the ski season!

We visited Telluride in the fall and this was the perfect place to stay. We were glad we were in town but the gondola was just across the street and could ride easily to Mountain Village. The restaurant is the best in Telluride!

Stayed in Telluride last week and this property is a true gem. We stayed in the king size sitting room and the room did not disappoint. There was a sitting area, cooktop, refrig and great bathroom. The breakfast was great....

This hotel is family owned and it was evident that there was a pride in the place. The two women who we liked, Mindy and the owner's daughter could not have been more helpful.

Would stay here again if we ever get to Telluride in the winter.

Room Tip: Stayed in a corner room. Loved it.

What a delightful place, I can't think of a thing that is not perfect. The best location, right across the street from the free gondola, an easy walk to the grocery store or downtown, nice river side walk through town just across the street, and views to die for. Quiet location.
Breakfast was wonderful in the hotel's restaurant, the best quiche ever, lots of fruit & special items. I don't think you can get an omelet and bacon, but the spread was perfect for me.
Parking is $10. a day in a controlled area under the hotel.
We have a small kitchen in the room, including two stove top burners, dishes, is all here.
They supply bathrobes, all those little bath items, including lip balm.
There are humidifiers in all the rooms as the elevation is so high it's very dry here.
The bed was new and maybe the best I've ever slept on, great pillows too.
Free wifi in all rooms.
