My husband and I have stayed at the Bristol on many occasions and we love it! For the past 2 years we have had a family ski trip the week of Christmas. We need between 3 and 7 rooms depending on attendance. The Bristol has a wonderful variety of rooms, suites, family rooms and rooms with twin beds, which is perfect for our needs. The hotel is small and quiet. The location provides for lots of convenient restaurants with great food and access to many different activities in town. The free local bus service is convenient and, did I mention FREE. It is a great service and drops you off at the ski area in about 15 to 20 minutes. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff is, from those who clean the rooms to the manager, everyone is friendly and helpful! We generally begin to book this trip in October and everyone who works at the front desk scheduling rooms is beyond patient. The hotel has 2 small common areas that give the place a very warm, family feel. We all love the quaint feel and the wonderful staff! This year there were new mattresses on our beds and they are wonderful!

We had a friend recommend the hotel. We booked a room 2 months out for about $225 - a little over our budget, but it was our first special getaway in 5 years with 2 small kids. It was also both our birthdays and our anniversary within the same week. With 24 hours until our reservation, our babysitter called in with a 104 temperature sick. We tried cancelling our reservation, but the hotel completely refused. We tried seeing if we could bring our 2 small children with us. They refused this as well. We tried upgrading to a higher room. The hotel quoted us $275 directly, but said it was going to be $150 more instead of just $50 because we booked our reservation through hotels.com. The hotel also put us on hold for several hours during our attempt to upgrade. The larger room was available but they refused to work with us, so we ended up eating the $225 reservation and not going at all. Thanks for the lovely 40th birthday present, Hotel Bristol. Happy New Year. May karma come back to you!

This is an old fashioned hotel right in the middle of town. It was very convenient to be within walking distance of all of the restaurants/shops. There are many complaints about the size of the rooms. I must say they are small; however, no smaller than most guest rooms in your family's home. The only place I felt size was an issue was the bathroom, but that was more a lack of counter space to put hair/makeup products, so I kept shuffling them around. A shelf or two in there would help a lot. It is a quaint and comfortable place to stay and you can't beat it for the price!! We will definitely go here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Bristol. The room was small, but it was clean and the black and white bathroom so cute. The air conditioning did not get as cold as I would have liked, so it was a little warm. You could open up the windows, but ours faced the alley, so workers at a nearby restaurant would smoke on breaks and it would sift up to our room. They had several nice gathering areas in the hotel and a hot tub. The hallways were narrow, but that added to the charm of the hotel. The location of the hotel is on the main strip so there was easy access to shops and restaurants. All in all it was a good stay.

I drove to Steamboat Springs during the prime aspen autumn. Not only was the Rocky Mountain and Yampa River view perfect, but the Hotel Bristol was outstanding for my stay. Hotel Bristol is located in the center of the downtown Steamboat Springs area, so walking to shops, art galleries, and restaurants was convenient. The hotel is about 64 years old, but it is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. I was traveling alone, but had a king-size bed with lots of wooden furniture within the room. The staff was friendly, interesting, and answered my inquiries. There was a 20% discount for the Tuesday-Thursday stay. I am certain I will stay there again and hope you will, too.
