“A good deal in an expensive ski resort.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Thanks to TripAdvisor, I found a room here during ski season that was reasonably priced. "Breakfast" was basically a sticky bun and paper cup of tea or coffee, but the hotel was easy to find, the bed was comfortable, and everything in the bedroom and bathroom worked. Staff were friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat.

Good hotel for the price.
I like this hotel; clean rooms with standard accommodations. Breakfast area kind of on the way in the main pass way to hotel rooms, I would say in some awkward place, but if you don’t care about morning free stuff, it is good price for the room…

I was very pleased with our Room and the friendliness of the Management and the Staff. Our room was clean and the Hotel was quiet and we slept great. Housekeeping was very efficient at getting our rooms made up after we left for the day. The Desk Manager even printed our Boarding Passes for the Airline the morning we checked out. I will stay here again. Very good value.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side give you a great view at Sunrise over the mountains.

OK, it's a bargain hotel. I get it. I thought it would be OK as a place to sleep, without looking for more - facilities, restaurant, etc. But still.... The halls and room were grim and dark - not dirty, but cleaning only gets you so far. I couldn't sleep on the bed - it was like a pad on boxsprings. I couldn't really control the temperature of the room. It's OK to not provide breakfast, but to call two kinds of cereal and packaged muffins breakfast, with packaged breakfast sandwiches to heat in the microwave for sale... no. Similarly, it's OK to not have a pool, but a tiny concrete fenced in pool between the front parking lot and the highway... no. I get annoyed when these things are listed to get you to choose a place but don't actually serve their purpose. It's cheap, but you get very little, so I wouldn't call it a good value.

Room Tip: Half the floors are on the '2nd' floor, which is half a floor above ground. Half are half a...

This hotel is a few miles out of town on the east side but still on the bike path. The room was nice with two firm beds, quiet on second floor back side looking into trees. Very small continental breakfast, lots of parking, hot tub and pool in front. It is back from the main road so quiet. Easy to get to shopping and sites. Somewhat rustic on outside as ski lodge but room was modern.
We stayed two nights and would again. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a good value option, and, as long as you don't expect too much you will be happy with your stay. The room was a good size for this price bracket and the bathroom was fine, although the bath was a bit dirty. The fridge was a welcome addition and there was a table and two chairs as well as modern air-conditioning which could be set on a timer if desired. There was ample parking to the front and back. We did not use the pool (although plenty of people did) and it was a lot smaller than it looks in the photos on the website. Free juice, coffee, muffins and cereal were served every morning - not great but it was free so can hardly complain! We had some trouble finding it the first time and drove straight past. Having phoned up to get directions we found it without problems. Good location, there was a free bus into the centre but you really need a car to make the most of the surroundings.

Pleasantly surprised to find this hotel looking good from outside and even more so inside! Stayed four nights. On free bus route to almost everywhere. Complaints that pool is small but it accommodated us fine. Amount of shampoo etc. Minimal. Free continental breakfast consists of Crunch Berries and Cheerios cereal choices, 2-3 muffin choices, coffee, 2 juices and hot water I assume for tea. For a dollar can get microwavable breakfast burrito etc.
