Lower falls and upper falls to see and jump in if you are brave! 2.5 mile hike to the upper falls. You gain @ 2000 elevation so up means UP! Allow time to catch your breath and enjoy the views along the way. Take plenty of water and a good snack or lunch. We welcomed the chilly water of the upper falls by the time our hot feet and tired joints reached the top. No better way to refresh than to take a dip and then lay down on the warm rocks to dry off. Great lunch spot! Leaves are beginning to turn and the hike down ...the same path is a whole different view! Very shaded path and mostly protected from direct sun. Your second welcomed dip in the water for your feet and knees is on the way down at the lower falls. Allow 4-5 hours. A great way to start the day!
