“Easy sidetrip, nice trails, very good facilities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2012

Fish Creek Falls is a "must do" sidetrip when visiting the Steamboat Springs area. Only 4 miles outside the city center, with good parking, facilities and easy trails. Only need 1-2 hours to drive to the access point and walk the overlook trail, maybe 3-4 hours if you want to hike to the base of the falls and have a picnic. Parking at the trailhead requires a $5 access fee or appropriate pass.

“Hike to the falls in the Spring.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

Fish Creek Falls is legendary in Steamboat. In the Spring the snow run-off fills the valley with mist. The wooden bridge at the base of the falls is a certain 'photo-op', only 1/4 mile from the parking area.
A must-see, even with a $5 fee per carload.

“Don't Miss the Views- Completely Accessible”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

This is a really easy hike to the overlook of the falls. It is a beautiful view and completely paved the entire way. Unless there is a lot of snow if you can walk, you can do this hike. It is beautiful and very accessible. Can't beat it for $5.00 fee!

“Winter Wonderland”

This was a great quick hike, easy for kids as well. Paths are well laid out, and the upper path is paved. The Falls and river where partially frozen which was neat to see.

Costs $5. Nice hiking trails. We took our Christmas card picture there. Fall is a beautiful time to go.
