Owner description: Old Town Hot Springs is an historic hot spring and recreational facility in the heart of Steamboat Springs. It is family friendly and has been the place for recreation and rejuvenation for visitors and locals alike for over 100 years. The swimming and soaking pools served as a gathering and bathing place for the Ute Indians who first settled in the area. Then in the late 1800s, it was a social spot and a bathing place for the early homesteaders. Old Town Hot Springs sits at an elevation of 6,700 feet and offers eight pools, including two 230-foot waterslides, a 3,000 square foot hot activity pool, an aquatic rock climbing wall, the historic Heart Spring pool, eight lap lanes, and massage. We also have a full fitness center with over 45 classes each week, including aqua fitness classes, yoga, spin, pilates, BodyPump, Zumba, and more. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit, multi-use complex open seven days a week, year-round.

“Nice but not absolutely great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

$16.00 seems a little pricey but what the heck, why not?!
Unfortunately the $16.00 doesn't cover the water slides which is a little disappointing, especially because there are only 2 slides.
From what I understand this place is also a fitness center but I was only there for the hotsprings.
Maybe they could qualify guests for full center use or partial use, that would lessen the $16.00 per person hit.

“Price increase but why?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

I had a little problem with the admission price raised to 16.00 They took out the sauna when they remodeled which was disappointing. I know I know they expanded the fitness center, and you get a great view when you work out, but there should be a way to break down a pool pas and add ons. I got a massage which was wonderful, staff is a little misinformed but not unfriendly. I am shocked with their updates that there were no ramps for the disabled to enter the water or lifts like I have seen at other healing water type places.

“Hot Springs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

Great place to soak, with family and friends. Close to everything in Steamboat Springs. You can even rent a suit and towels if necessary! The water slide is extra fun for kids, and the lap pool is open year round to fitness swimmers.

“Perfectly relaxing and enjoyable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

I had read the previous reviews about the staff being rude and I wasn't dissapointed but that was the the only bad thing. Everything else was abosoulty enjoyable. There were many pools to choose from and there was a great family pool, however we spent most our time on the "hot tub". At first when you enter it isn't as hot as you think it should be, but it turns out to be the perfect temp becuase you can stay in it all day. It's like a warm bath that never gets cold! The locker room was spacious. There is a snack bar with plenty of options to choose from.

Key things to remeber (becuase the staff won't tell you): large lockers are 50 cents - not a quarter and towels are $1. If you need one, ask for one, beucase they won't offer one to you. They could add a clip or band to the locker keys so that they would be easier to hold on to. you can also bring a lock of your own if you'd like.

I plan on coming back again. It was a great time and VERY relaxing.

“Great Swimming Pool and Soaking Pools”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

The Old Town Hot Springs are a great place to visit - kiddie wading pool, shallow pool great for the under 6 set, hot pool and several soaking pools. A great activity for the family in both summer and winter.
