Went for dinner on a Sunday evening. Sat at the bar as the dining room was busy and it is loud & stuffy (temp-wise). Food is always good but this time my dinner was luke warm. It is pricey, I paid $31 for a Caprese salad and Bolognase spaghetti. Will have to reconsider if I go back when I'm in town.

We're always looking at our pricing as compared to the value. Thank you for letting us know your thoughts on this one.

We were staying at the Hotel Bristol next door and walked around town to find a restaurant for dinner. Well, needless to say, we checked out Trip Advisor and what people had to say. We were NOT disappointed. We had the Lasagna and the salmon. Then, my husband had to get the Meatball -- specifically, Meatball -- side order. Well, Everything was terrific from the salad, the bread, the wine, the server and the main dishes. We have to comment on the one meatball -- it's almost the size of a softball and it's simply tender and juicy and flavorful. You've got to get several for the table!! it's a must go even though it's in a basement. If there's a line, go in and leave your name and number and they will call you as you walk around town.

This very small basement restaurant was last minute choice for us and it turned out pretty great. Between the six of us, we ordered several things on the menu. The baked 'shrooms, mozzarella sticks, and cheese sticks were decent, nothing to write home about, but good. My daughter, son and husband got pizzas and kept raving about how awesome they were. My dad got the baked lamb and pasta dish which he really like as well. I got the Lobster Fettuccine dish which I really liked. I'm not a pasta connoisseur. I pretty much never order it, so take that for what it is.

We tried Mazzola's on our last trip to Steamboat Springs and it's now on the "must-do" list for our next visit. Between the four of us, we tried the chicken cannolini, vodka shrimp, lasagna and lobster fettucini and we were all very happy with our selections. Start with the alpine fonduta and try the white sangria!

This restaurant doesn't look all that great when you go in, but the food is definitely worth it! We didn't want to eat much so we decided to split a meal. We ordered the vodka shrimp, which was recommended by others on Tripadvisor... and it was really good. It came with flatbread, served with hummus in a bit of olive oil with garlic and basil, also quite delicious. So don't let the decor throw you off!

Yes... sometimes the downstairs setting with ambient lighting can deceive those expecting patio seating or more vibrant decor. But our focus on the food is never ignored. Thank you for the review.
