“Best Mexican Restaraunt I've ever eaten at!”

Wow, I was in Steamboat last week and I went to the Cantina three times! It was so great! The best Margarita's I've ever had- bar none. The food was fantastic! I had several dishes, but my favorite was the Fish Tacos, I think they call them Tacos Vera Cruz. I had to stop myself from filling up on the salsa and warm nacho chips, they were so good. The food tastes fresh and with just the right amount of spice. The casual atmosphere was so authentic I forgot I was in a Colorado ski town! Service was excellent and very attentive. I would recommend The Cantina to anyone!

“The Cantina is Awesome, an A+”
Reviewed August 24, 2010

Had a truly great experience at the Cantina while in Steamboat. Food, atmosphere, and service was outstanding. Prices are very reasonable too. The flavored margaritas are unreal. The Cantina is a must-stop while in Steamboat.

“Great, fresh Mexican food served quickly”
Reviewed August 18, 2010

Atmosphere is like a bar with a restaurant attached and their margaritas justify this. Staff friendly, food is really fresh and very good. Restrooms need attention, but a great place for a meal and a drink.

“Average at best”
Reviewed July 26, 2010

Except for the Margaritas, the dining experience was sub par. The food was nothing special, and it didn't help to get seated all the way in the back facing the kitchen.

Of the 38 tables in our restaurant, one does offer a partial view of the wait station in the back of the dining room. We only offer to seat customers at that table when all other tables are full because it is the least desirable. We would have gladly moved you to a different table as soon as one because available had you made your dissatisfaction known to your server. Thank you for mentioning that your margarita was outstanding and that you found no fault in the food or service.

“Made me miss home”
Reviewed July 10, 2010

We had been on the road for about six days and being from Tejas,we needed a tex-mex and margarita fix. they had interesting food/'burrito combinations. Some traditional, some more unique and the house margarita on the rocks made with FRESH Squeezed lime juice - YUMMY!
Wait staff were stellar and with a small patio and open air seating at the front made this a wonderful place to be.
Special suprise! a toy bucket my kiddos got to choose an item out of at the end of meal. They loved it and gave them something fun to do the rest of the trip.
