“Delightfully creative and tasty”
Reviewed February 5, 2014 via mobile

No kidding, their Spicy Italian sausage sushi roll, called Tuscany, is to die for, as was the Jalapeño Popper and my wife's Ultimate. Everything was just a delight to the taste buds, and the prices reasonable. Sposta's puts ingredients into sushi that you wouldn't imagine, all at an extremely reasonable price. We shall return again soon.

“Lovely intimate dining”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

This is owned by two brothers, one is the chef and the other, Umberto, handles the guests. We called for a last minute reservation for 2 and he reworked a few seatings to accommodate us and greeted us by name when we arrived. The restaurant's ambience is very warm and intimate, seating only about 25. The menu has a nice selection and it was difficult to choose from the delicious sounding apps and entrees. Umberto did a great job explaining them all and making recommendations. We both chose the duck and were so glad we did - a very generous portion and delicious. We also had a salad which was very nice. The desserts looked wonderful but sadly we were too full. Umberto's brother, the chef, came out to meet us, which was a nice touch. Also, we each enjoyed several glasses of wine and were allowed to sample several - at their suggestion - before choosing. Although the cost of the meal was pricey my husband and I were prepared based on other reviews, and we did feel the value was there and the prices appropriate for the quality of the food, service, and surroundings.

“Different Sushi Experience”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

We spent our weekend in Steamboat Spring and picked Spostas for lunch. It was a different experience than what we used to, but we love it. We all ordered the rolls and my son finished his sesame chicken rolls, yes, even with vegetables. I love the vegetarian rolls as well. The price was really good for Steamboat Springs. It is a good choice for lunch, you can find or build sushi you like.

“Great food, funky environs.”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

What a great concept and unlike any sushi experience you've ever had. Sushi in rolls, rice bowls, or salads. I know you can choose your own fixings but we found the menu full of great combos. The firecracker sauce brings it all together. We got to spend some time with Christian, the owner, and get the back story on the name for the restaurant and its history. Give it a try for a wonderful and unique meal in Steamboat.

“Great "not your ordinary" sushi in a dive of a place”
Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

We were downtown and hungry for sushi. Heard of this place but was recommended another farther away. Glad we came here. Didn't know what to expect when we walked in and even hesitated. They have create your own sushi, sushi salads, and their own tak on different sushi. Great formulas and the price is right!
