First time I went here 30 years ago, you just took your clothes off, put them on a rock, and hopped in. Now it's family friendly, with changing areas etc, but after about 10 pm it goes to clothes optional. hey, who's looking anyway, when you can instead be starring at the stars on a beautiful Rocky Mtn night!

This was such a great experience! We visited the springs after a day of skiing around 630pm. It was amazing to sit in the hot springs watching the sun set and the moon rise! We stayed until 9pm, and when we left, there were still people pulling in. If you're going to visit at night, be sure to take a flashlight as the trail down the the springs is dark and unlit. There are numerous pools; I remember them by Oh...Oooh...and OH MY GOODNESS THAT'S HOT! There were quite a few people there when we visited, and I'm not sure if it's like that all the time. If you're looking for a one with nature experience, I'm uncertain if you'll get the solitude here. There are changing "tee-pee's", yet don't expect much privacy unless someone stands in front of the door. Bring a towel, and again, don't forget your flashlight.

Overall, we had an amazing experience, even with all the people. It's clothing optional after dark, and the front desk clerk does inspect all bags going into the springs as there is no alcohol allowed.

Cheers, and Enjoy!

We visited The Strawberry Park Hot Springs twice during our last visit. I think the high ranking for things to do is warrented.
The Good: The water feels awesome, the views are amazing, the atmosphere is totally laid back and relaxing.
The Bad: The road is steep, narrow and very bumpy (4WD a must), some other customers dont respect anything (noisy and leave trash on ground).
Overall: An experience like no other - we will return!

We didn't hear about the hot springs until we got to Steamboat. My wife and I very much enjoyed the springs, along with the awesome views on the way to the park.

This hot springs is the real deal - all the benefits of a hot springs, but it's nicely maintained with sandy bottoms, railings and a beautiful atmosphere. Worth the $10 for sure!
