“Cozy!!”
Reviewed June 29, 2009

The condo's are amazing here at the Lodge. We stayed here last year and enjoyed every minute of it. The view of the mountains are breath taking. Lots of little shops near by and cozy restaurants. We will be retuning March 2010 as we stayed here in Jan. of 2009. Skiing was great too.

The Lodge is a great place to stay. It is a very SHORT walk to the mountain, and the staff here is very nice. The condos are clean, and very welcoming. They give you a free bottle of wine, and free orange juice when you sign in. I would highly recommend it. I have stayed at the Lodge twice and have been extremely happy both times. There is also a free bus line right outside that takes you right into town to restaurants, bars, etc.. Every room is equipped with free wireless too, which I can vouch for since I am using it now to write this review.

This was our first year at Steamboat and we came with a group of families. The staff in the office is incredibly helpful and professional. The condos were great. Our family had a great time and we plan on coming back in 2010. Thanks

My family's 10 day stay at the Lodge was magical. The condo was beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture, highend appliances and great beds. The layout was spacious and allowed us to avoid feeling as if we were on top of one another. The location to the mountain was ideal. We took the shuttle over in the morning to ski but were able to walk back at the end of the day. Shuttle service to the mountain, supermarket and town ran so frequently it was almost like having your own transportation. Staff at the desk was extremely accomodating and helpful. After 12 years of staying at Steamboat, this one was one of the best.

This was our 3rd stay at The Lodge at Steamboat. These condos are across the street from the gondola. Staying in building A puts you closest to the crosswalk over to the gondola. The first year we came with just our family. The second year, we brought 2 other families with us. This year, we were a group of 6 families. This is a testament to how much we enjoyred The Lodge. Each condo is furnished differently, but have the same basic layout. My children enjoyed the hot tubs and heated pools every afternoon. Plenty of towels, as well as thick terry robes provided at check in for use while walking from condo to hot tub/pool. The staff in the office are amazing, a real pleasure to deal with. The exact unit we had requested was not available and the front office staff was more than happy to show us other units before deciding where to put us. Every morning, there is coffee and donuts in the main lobby. A free shuttle bus is available to take you grocery shopping, downtown, etc. The condos were well maintained. One of our friends had a plumbing issue that was taken care of by maintenance in a matter of minutes. Across from building A is a very small shopping center with a mexican restaurant, ski shop, and small grocery store--very convenient. I fully expect to return in January 2010 for a 4th visit to The Lodge.

We just came home from a 5 day Christmas vacation at the Lodge. I searched this website and others for reviews and decided on the Lodge. We had a 1st floor condo in building A. Beautiful 2bdrm,2bath. Perfect for the kids and privacy for the adults. There were 3 t.v.s, so everyone was satisfied. I really liked the Lodge for its convenience to the ski base. We found out that we could just walk behind our condo a little and we'd be right behind Terry Sports and a grocery store. We rented from Terry and they stored our skis over night and stored our snow boots for free. We grabed them in the morning and crossed the street and walked a short distance to the Gondola. At the end of the day, we actually could ski straight to the road, cross and put our skis back at Terry's. The grocery store was outrageously expensive, but it was convenient for breakfast stuff to cook in our condo. We could catch the awesome bus into downtown and have dinner at night. There were plenty of places for us to eat at the base too or up the gondola at night too. We ordered takeout one night. Alpine Tours dropped us off and picked us up right on our door step. to and from the airport. The whole Steamboat experience was great. Ski school was great for the kids. We had awesome ski days with snow coming down, but it wasn't that cold- which is my kind of ski conditions. The Lodge housekeeping was great. They gave us fresh towels and made the beds every day. We had a fully stocked kitchen with appliances and dishes, pots, pans, etc. I would reccomend The Lodge to anyone who wanted convenience with the skiing and a nice place to stay. I saw other places that looked more glamorous from the outside, but you can't beat The Lodge. We originally wanted to stay at The Grand, but they did not have the accommodations that a condo at the Lodge offered. I think we got a decent deal on the price compared to the surrounding properties that we looked at.

  • Liked — convenience to slopes and the 2bdrm,2bath,3tvs
  • Disliked — can't find anything bad to say

This was a great getaway and had everything we needed. We (our family of 4) stopped in Steamboat at this condo for a break between stints of camping in WY and CO. The property wasn't busy, so we practically had the place to ourselves. The unit was decorated very nicely and was spotless and roomy. The kitchen, although not large, was well equipped with everything. The staff was very helpful and volunteered that we could check out late if we wanted, which we did without question. I got a great sale price from Steamboat Resorts website, so I felt it was a good deal for a 2BR. They were working on updating some of the buildings and there was also construction next door, but it didn't affect us at all. It appeared that it would be hard to avoid construction anywhere in Steamboat. I would highly recommend The Lodge!
