Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Torian Plum. 2 other families in our group also stayed at the Torian and appeared to enjoy their stay as much as we did. Great location and amenities!

Glad you enjoyed your stay at Torian Plum. In Steamboat, our combination of ski-in/ski-out one to six bedroom condominiums with the convenience of a wide variety of restaurants, retail and rentals just steps away is fairly rare. We have a five bedroom and a six bedroom condominium in our inventory that families and large groups traveling together just love. Why don’t you check it out on your next visit?

These condos are not for the budget traveler just an FYI. I most likely would not be able to stay here if not for my wife's work. The Location alone is worth every penny. It's just a few hundred feet to the resort and shopping and restaurants all with in walking distance. We stayed in a three bedroom three bath with balcony and fire place and washer and dryer. The fire place was gas with a timer for easy convenience. Our condo had TV's in every room with cable, flat screen Vizio in living room and old school TV's in the bedroom's. Also had lots of board games to keep you busy. Our master bedroom had a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom ( we did not use). When you walked in to the condo we had lots of hooks and a long bench with storage above to sit and take off your gear after a busy day. Each room had a humidifier because it's so dry which was nice. Our kids loved having there own room and bathrooms.
The property itself is well maintained and has a friendly staff. There is meeting rooms, workout room, showers and changing rooms. They had private lockers for each room to put your ski or snowboard that specific for your room, you just use your room key very convenient. They had a refreshing heated pool and four hot tubs that weren't too hot. I believe it also had a restaurant too but we did not eat at it or even visit it.
Overall we had and amazing time at these condos and hope to be back again soon. The owners of the condo kept it very clean and organized. I want to mention these perticular condos are run by Wyndham Vacation rentals. These condos probably the second closest to the lifts. I definitely would recommend these condos if price isn't an issue.

Room Tip: Just about all the rooms are good but I would ask for one facing the mountain. They all have some so...

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Torian Plum by Wyndham Vacation Rentals. On behalf of the housekeeping team, I appreciate your comment about the cleanliness of the unit and have passed it on.

Regarding rate, the headline of your post is the answer to the old question “What are the three most important factors in real estate?” Across the entire ski industry, it’s common that a premium is placed on ski-in/ski-out units as opposed to those that require a walk or shuttle to the slopes. (It’s especially true of ski-in/ski-out complexes within walking distance of restaurants and ski shops.)

While less expensive accommodations certainly are available, given the convenience associated with its location, we feel confident Torian Plum is still a good value for the money. We appreciate you taking the time to write such a thorough review and hope to see you again soon!

Great location for a skiing family at Steamboat. Situated on the mountain at the main lodge area. Close to ski lifts, apre ski, shopping and restaurants. We stayed in the Creekside building which is the newer of the two. Great unit, fully stocked and nicely appointed. Hot tubs and outdoor pool were right outside the door, on the way to the slopes, and were a big hit with the kids. Underground parking was great, ski storage lockers handy, workout facility was decent. Property is well managed by Wyndham.

Room Tip: We stayed in unit 316 Creekside. 2 bedroom, 3 bath. Perfect for our family.....

Stayed her for the 2nd year in a row and will most likely do again next year. Cost for our 3 bedroom unit booked well in advance was about $420/day. Perfect for our family ranging in age from 4 to 65. Condo was well equipped and convenient to Terry Sports for equipment rentals, Cafe Diva for that special meal night, Paramount for great breakfasts and caffeine fixes, etc. Best part is it is less than a 100 yards to the slopes. Only issue is that unless you are a really good sleeper, you may be disturbed by the snow plows that clear the streets and sidewalks starting at 5am. But then again - you certainly want fresh snow every night and you almost always get it in February at Steamboat.

Room Tip: Try for a room slope side that is not near a street that will be snowplowed.

Glad you and your family enjoyed Torian Plum. It really is a unique combination of ski in-ski out convenience along with easy access to a wide range of businesses like restaurants and ski rental.

Sorry about the early morning plowing, but we arrange for it to snow at night so you’ll have a bright sunny day on which to enjoy it! Just so you know, when the snow gods send their blessings to Steamboat, slopeside guests sometimes hear the grooming cats. As you point out . . . it’s a great problem to have!

Reservations:

Conveniently made over the telephone.

Check-in: rapid and friendly and efficient. Excellent bell service to help with luggage. Free indoor parking!
Condo: very spacious with a gas fireplace in the living, large dining room overlooking the ski slopes, large well equipped kitchen, two large full baths, two large bedrooms (one with king bed and one with two twin beds). Excellent free high speed internet. Wonderful furnishings. Washer and dryer IN THE UNIT!!! Pillows were a little firm so the front desk sent up several more suited to our needs.
Check-out: rapid and friendly and efficient.
Ski lockers: right by door on ground level. Never crowded or dirty.
It was about 25 feet from the door of the building to the slopes.
Lots of restaurants close by. Food shopping was farther away, but there was a free bus running from morning to nite.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the elevators, preferably an end unit overlooking the ski slopes.

Have stayed in Torian Plum Creekside (condo #418) once or twice per year for past 10 years. Fantastic place. Very large, big kitchen, 3 bedrooms. Have typically hosted dinner parties of 12+ people, and there is plenty of room. Ski lockers downstairs are very convenient, and kids love the hot tubs. Best of all, its a "ski in, ski out", which we all love.

Fantastic location, too, not just for skiing, but for social activities!

We stayed in a beautiful 2 bedroom condo that had been updated with a great kitchen. We felt like we were at home with everything we needed. The lobby staff was more than helpful. Just a short walk across the courtyard and we were on the mountain and able to ski to the lifts. The best part of our stay was the complimentary shuttle service we used for shopping and for dinner nightly. This is part of the Wyndham properties but our condo was privately managed. Numerous indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Fresh cookies and coffee in lobby with a very friendly staff. Great location, just past the Sheraton when you are leaving the gondola. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your recent stay at Torian Plum. It really is a great property with a tremendous location. Next time you come to Steamboat, I hope you’ll consider renting through Wyndham Vacation Rentals so we can continue to provide the little touches like cookies and coffee in the lobby and hire the kind of folks that made your stay so memorable.
