AWESOME! EPIC! AMAZING! If you can drag yourself away from the skiing this is definititely worth doing. From the initial email contacts whilst in the UK the communication, attention to detail and customer service was superb. John (with the frozen moustache!) was great at filling us with confidence to ride our sled through the gorgeous scenery, travelling between two sleds on his snowmobile to check we and the dogs were all fine. The sleds were actually surprisingly easy to control as the dogs know exactly where they are going; however you do need to concentrate to control their speed - you certainly feel like you are in control of the sled. We were offered alternative boots and mittens to ensure we stayed as warm as possible; it was VERY cold, so wear as many layers as possible. Our 9 year old boy was thrilled that he was also allowed to take control for a short time. Probably made his year as we went on NYEve. The hot chocolate and bakes were most welcome at the end too. Thank you to Sara, Kris and their team for enabling a fantastic aftenoon for us and creating such fabulous memories. A tiring afternoon but well worth it! We would highly recommend and try and return if ever back in Steamboat.
Thanks....Nicky & family.

This was a great experience. My extended family of 11 (8 young adults) went and had a blast! We all love dogs so that made it even better! Everyone there was so friendly and we learned a lot about the dogs, the Iditarod, and the people who work there. We had a wonderful hour+ trip on the sleds and then had time to pet the dogs and have some delicious snacks. Everyone was extremely professional and fun. We had done this in Alaska and only had about a 20 min ride and it was MUCH more expensive. So this, while still expensive, was a much better outing. And remember, they have to make most of their money in just the winter months!

A van picks you up at your condo and takes you to Stagecoach State Park. In the warming hut they check to make sure you'll be warm enough... they have extra winter boots if need be for use. Then outside to meet the dogs, learn how to harness them, and load into your sled. One drives and one sits inside the cocoon... my wife decided she wanted to stay warm so I got to drive the entire time... fun!!! We had 6 sleds with a snowmobile in the front, middle and rear to guide and help out if necessary. The dogs are amazing and so much fun to be with! One of the neatest things I've ever done. Special thanks to Cody for all his help!

Great staff, amazing dogs that love what they do. The Alaskan Huskies are very friendly and social and love human attention. Hot beverages and snacks in the shack afterwards. The owners are very dedicated to these animals, and are well taken care of. Scenic 12 mile trail.

What an experience! You get picked up and returned to the door of where you are staying, totally immersed in the excitement as the dogs welcome you and the guides educate you on the specifics and history of dog sledding. Chris and Sara quite obviously love not just what they do, but the animals that pull the sleds. The guides take excellent care of the guests and dogs. Beautiful scenery. Dont miss the opportunity to drive your own team. Share the experience by being in the sled part of the tour and driving the other part. You will not be disappointed.
