Truffle Pig was good, but not great. My wife and I recently dined there with friends, and expected a bit more from our experience based on ambiance and price.
-- Ambiance and overall look/feel of Truffle Pig was great. Clean modern look while also having the western feel you'd expect from a Steamboat dining experience.
-- Wine list is outstanding, and of course a solid list of microbrews to back that up. Also a great bar area, and if visiting again we might just stop there.
-- Food was good, but expected it to be great based on price. I had a pork dish that was a bit dry, and my wife's steak frites was extremely tough.
-- Service was average at best. Our waiter seemed less than energetic to serve us and was not all that knowledgable about the menu or wine list. Also, my wife had arranged a birthday surprise for our friend with the restaurant hostess, and the hostess left for the night without telling our waiter about the surprise or arranging anything, so that was a big disappointment.
So nothing hugely wrong with Truffle Pig, but nothing great that would make this a must dining experience. It's doubtful that we'll return.
