We took the 2 hour ride, and it was one of the best activities of our summertime trip to Steamboat. Riding horseback through open ranch land in Colorado is a real treat and a special way to enjoy the scenery. This is a family owned and operated ranch, and the family's love of their land and what they do shows. One of the owners, Luanna, was our guide, and her sister checked us in. They are nice, good people. Local store owners and employees in Steamboat know this family and speak highly of them. The helmets for the children are clean, new (probably no more than a year old) and in good condition. There were cold drinks at the end of the ride, and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The horses are great -- they had energy for the ride but were responsive enough for my first-time riding husband and extremely novice 10 and 12 year old children. Both of our children are pushing us to come back in the wintertime for a snowy ride!

This was one of the most memorable experiences of our Stramboat vacation. We went on a 2 hr horseback ride around the gorgeous ranch. One of our guides was Maddie, and I don't remember the other woman's name but she was wonderful as well! The horses seemed happy, healthy, and well cared for. The guides made thoughtful choices in picking horses for everyone. This was truly a memorable experience for my family. Worth every penny!

This was one of my favorite activities on our Steamboat vacation. We went in early June so the weather was beautiful. Most of our family are pretty inexperienced riders so I was slightly nervous but it was wonderful. I loved the view! Just gorgeous! My husband wished we had come back a different way just to see something different but it was all beautiful none the less. It was one of the more expensive activities we did but in my opinion worth it. Everyone was very nice and even offered us drinks.

Our guides were Caleb and Maddie. Very beautiful ranch and friendly people. They explained things well and were good about keeping everyone together. We had a gorgeous day which helped. They were great horses and we got to watch a gentleman shoe the horses almost like a manicure. It was worth the money. However next time we want to do the cattle drive. We were a couple days early before they started them.

The family who operates Saddleback along with the food was WONDERFUL; entertainment was eh! The sleigh ride did not face forward so everyone did not have a good view and we rode back in a bus; which was a let down.
