We went tubing and snowmobiling today. It was fun and the tour guides did a great job. It was very cold, You cannot wear to much clothing. We are considering horse back riding later in the week when it warms up a little above -15F. Would recommend this place as a must.

My wife and I recently participated in the 1/2 day snowmobiling tour and we chose the 2 driver option (as opposed to 1 driver - 1 passenger). Our guide was amazing, covered safety instructions without making it feel like an airplane demo. He taught us to ride very quickly and made it easy to go from the first time driving to cutting up a waist-deep meadow at full throttle.

There is no insurance available so be safe. There also are no governors on these snowmobiles so you can open them up in the straightaways.

All in all the snowmobiling is amazing and worth every penny! You get a free lunch too, kinda snack bar fare, but still good. You also get an hour of tubing and this is probably the coolest tubing tun I've ever seen. (3 different paths and a tube lift).

We took the shuttle out. It was great to sit back and enjoy the views for the ride out. The tubing hill is so much fun. I've never been snow tubing before, so I was scared at first. We had a blast! It's very cold in Steamboat right now so there wasn't many people out there. The ranch is beautiful to just ride around and look. Also, as we were leaving we got to see all the horses being herded in for the evening..beautiful! We had the perfect time. The staff is great and friendly as well. Would love to go back.

Watching the horses run out to the pasture is beautiful, its one of the elements of ranching that reminds you "all the hard work is worth it." Probably my favorite part of the day, glad we shared it together!

Best food we had all week! The family made us feel so welcome and we loved to hear about the ranch history. We'd love to see it next year during daylight but what we saw was gorgeous.

Grandma, the parents and children ages 3 and 5 went winter tubing here and we all loved it!!! It was so easy, so fun and very reasonably priced compared to skiing :) Location is beautiful, scenic and secluded with lovely late afternoon light. I would say an hour was just right for the 3 year old and 2 hours was perfect for the 5 year old. Better to drive yourself out if you can - much more convenient and it's not hard to find. Everybody had a hot chocolate afterwards and even that was delicious - frothy and yummy! Thanks to Saddleback for a really fun afternoon - if we'd had more time we would have gone back another day.

So nice to hear your entire family enjoyed our tubing hill, all 5 generation of our family also share so many fun memories on that hill!! Thank you for your advise about driving out, it does give you flexibility in your time spent at Saddleback Ranch, especially for families with smaller children.
