A new dinner venue at the Ski Area! A ride up the Gondola, then a special heated snowcat ride to the new Four Points Hut. Northern Italian food. Great experience. Great Food. Great Staff. Attention to detail, including food allergy issues. A must inclusion in your visit to the Steamboat Ski Resort.

We have returned to Steamboat Springs many times for family vacations. It is a wonderful mountain and the ski instructors are an amazing bunch. We enjoy downtown Steamboat for shopping and dining. The restaurants, both on the mountain and downtown, are better every time we visit! Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Steamboat is a wonderful destination for families and we'll be back again.

This was my 3 time in Steamboat, and having skied in Europe and Canada, as well as other US location, I can say that this is one of the best options for a family ski trip. Its is not as expensive or "chick" as Vail or Aspen, but the terrain is very varied, the lift system is very efficient and staff in general is very friendly. The grooming is extensive, and now they offer night skiing. Even though it is a little farther away from Denver, the location is beautiful and very welcoming. I would like to make a special note for the ski school and the instructions, we were traveling with little kids (2-8 years old) and it was there first ever ski trip. The teachers were wonderful to them, and had them skiing in 3 days and wanting to return to school!

I visited Steamboat for 12 days this January! We had amazing powder snow for 4 days and perfect sun for the rest of the trip. So many different types of terrain which were perfect no matter what type of skier you were (anywhere from beginner to advanced). I have to say, I loved this resort! The restaurants on the slopes were great (Four Points has WiFi!) and were the prices you'd expect to pay up on the slopes of a ski resort. It gets busy on weekends because everyone drives up from Denver, however when we were there it never got too crazy so that you'd have to wait in lines for hours. The temperature was good and the snow machines are more than capable for dealing with when the snow starts to melt (which it did towards the end of the week with perfect sun!) The only things I would say is they didn't groom the runs as much as I would've liked. As well as that, they charged extra for night skiing, and teenagers became adults at the age of 18 in regards to lift passes and night skiing passes. On the weekends, sometimes there is live music and a little apres ski down in the village square after you finish skiing, but nothing compared to Europe and nothing happens during the week, which is kind of disappointing considering what a large and busy ski resort it is! I guess it would be best for families with little kids, but for families with teenagers (my family), there isn't really anything to do except for ski. Even if you're 21, the lack of nightlife was very noticeable.

Great resort for intermediate skier's. Groomed slopes and small lift lines.
Overall prices are much lower than Snowmass/ Vail. Nice downtown with good restaurants.
