“A warm welcoming place in Snow Cuty”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Thank you very much for such a lovely week. This is our 2nd stay at the Morningside Villas and from the time Steve welcomed us & helped us with our luggage until the time he bid us a safe trip home, everything was perfect. We are forever grateful to the entire Steamboat Staff for such an elegant complimentary platter of crackers, cheese, fruits & meat for my mother's 87th birthday. And this was all instigated by Barb Ficke when we asked her help in finding last minute dinner reservations (the one we earlier called did not call back to confirm our reservation). The villas were spotless clean & well maintained and everything you need is there so you feel right at home. We love the view of the gold-studded ski slopes as well as of the waterfalls. It is amazing that we can enjoy & hear the music from the Octoberfest celebration but everything is quiet once we close the balcony door. The entire 2 bedroom villa has accommodations easily for 6 people and plenty more space to spare. Again, we look forward to returning to such a warm welcoming resort. I may even have a girls week off next year to showcase such a resort that spared nothing to ensure everyone a memorable vacation.

“Good value, attentive staff”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

The Sheraton Steamboat Resort is located right at the base of the ski area. This being off-season, many of the nearby businesses are closed. The hotel itself offers modern, clean rooms of good quality, and the staff was attentive to our needs.

“Dinner not great”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We have had breakfast at this hotel a couple of times and found the food really good. However, we chanced dinner one evening and were totally disappointed with the preparation and taste. Everything was oversalted, overcooked or unappetizing. The waitstaff was wonderful and understanding. There are great restaurants in town and that is where we'll go next year.

“Location, Location”
Reviewed August 4, 2012 via mobile

Other than the location, there isn't anything really special about this hotel. It's nice, it's clean, and the staff is friendly so that's all a plus.. The food is ok (breakfast buffet is small and overpriced) and the drinks are good, but expensive. However, if you have time to relax on the back deck.... ahhhh... It's wonderful.

All through the night I kept waking up hearing some loud knocking noise and at first I though it was someone in the hallway knocking loudly on another guest's door. After getting up several times to try to find out who was making all the noise, I realized it was some noise coming from the bathroom. Beams settlings, pipes knocking, or noise carrying in from another room?? I never did figure out where it was coming from but it was nearly impossible to sleep. Nice linens, nice rooms, clean... all was good except for the relentless knocking sound. So the hotel is nice, view is wonderful, staff is friendly, food is just OK, and prices are expensive. I didn't feel I got enough value or sleep for the price.

“Pricey”

For the portion size and food quality, the price was a bit excessive...
