This is a small park, with a wide variety of plants in a lovely setting. Parking is convenient, and there is no charge. It should be part of anyone's visit to Steamboat Springs. It is also adjacent to the Yampa River Core Trail, which makes it a convenient place to pause for a while if you are walking the river trail.

Had to revisit the park while vacationing here again 2yrs later. Found most of the plants and flowers past peak but foliage still abound. Tranquil park free, just donations if you wish. Park an walk-in. Never crowded unless a school decides to visit during the weekday. Clean restrooms and staff always busy in the gardens. Got some good photos this trip. Visit if in the area.

Not much blooming in mid-October, but a calm, serene, level, pretty walk in a sunny afternoon. Enjoyed the labels for plants (even though mist were done for the season) and well-placed benches for viewing.

Went here with wife to get a quiet retreat for an hour and found just that. The garden is very nice and included lots of blooming flowers and hummingbirds in the middle of summer. While not huge, you can spend a while here taking your time and enjoying the flora and fauna. They also have an on-site osprey nest! It connects to a walking trail that can take you into town. Worth you time.

What a treat, go for a bike ride and stop to enjoy or walk the broad trails and see native Coloradan plants and trees identified. Meditation spots, broad lawns, ponds, rocks, and 'secret' trails tucked in among the trees. Beautiful and well maintained.

What a lovely experience we had here! The park is beautiful with a large parking lot for easy access. We did an enjoyable self guided tour (followed the brochure) around the garden. We were there at the end of September so there was not many flowers/plants in bloom. I imagined the spring and summer times would be an explosion of blooming. The pond was stunning as it reflected the fall colors. Overall, we had an enjoyable experience. And, the park is FREE!

Was ok. It’s free so nice little walk around. I’d imagine it would be a lot prettier in the summer months!

Visited in mid September and the gardens and blooms were amazing. I wasn't expecting much in the way of blooms as fall was already here, but the gardens were full of blooms and very impressive and beautiful. Easy walk and good tree and plant identifications.
