This is our third year to visit this resort and we loved it as much as ever. This time we had Big Red cabin. Lots of space - nice 3-bedroom cabin with a fireplace and plenty of firewood. Free WiFi - wonderful little critters of all types visited us on the porch.

Lots of pretty flowers everywhere and meticulous attention given to every detail. Plenty of hummingbirds to entertain us, too - and we loved the biscuit and gravy breakfast Tuesday morning. Great place!!!!

We stayed at the Riverbend for 3 night Jan. 25 -28th 2008. Our cabin was cozy, clean, nicely updated, and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and we felt very welcome. We especially enjoyed using the fireplace.

Riverbend has discounted tickets to Wolf Creek and its only about 15- 20 minutes away - WC has tremendous snow - short lift lines, no dreadful tourists like Breckenridge & Keystone - decent rentals (ski). But ohhhhh the powder!!!

Pagosa Springs - 30 minutes away has great hot springs at the PS Hot Springs Resort., pricey - $17 bucks to get in but a lovely place to soak!

Riverbend was a great home base for us while we explored nearby attractions.

We only had the opportunity to stay for one night but would have stayed longer! Nice, updated cabin was very comfortable. The staff seemed to care that we had a great time and were more than helpful. The river and views - AND the wildlife! - made the stay just that much better.

We have just spent a week at Riverbend Resort in South Fork, CO and loved every minute of it. The scenery is fantastic, the prices very reasonable and the folks that own the resort treat you like family!. They have 12 cabins, all different, from one room for 1 or 2 people, up to the large cabins that will sleep up to 15 people. Every cabin is fully furnished with bedding, towels, fridge, stove, microwave. coffee pot, coffee filters, dishes, dish soap, pots, pans, paper towels, salt, pepper, etc. All you need to stay here is your clothes and food. Every cabin even has a deck with deck furniture and a grill.
Most cabins look out over the beautiful river (which, by the way, is stocked with trophy fish every two weeks during the summer!) This place is three miles out of town, so is very peaceful and quiet. They allow pets, so we were even able to bring our dog. There are great places to take a walk and oh does the hot tub ever feel good when we get back!
This is our fifth time here and we plan to continue coming often, as each season here is different and beautiful.

We stayed at RiverBend Resort in a small 2 bdrm cabin. We were approximately 50 yards from the river which we could hear at night. There was alot of small wildlife, which the kids loved, along with the game room and playground equipment. The rates were extremely reasonable and the owners treated us like family. We also embarked on an incredible horseback trip from Wolf Creek Stables with an authenic Mountain Man Guide. We signed up for white water rafting, and although the timing for the water levels were not that great we loved it anyway. We took a jeep tour along the scenic Silver Thread highway and ended up in Lake City, also breathtaking. We have beautiful postcard photos and memories to last a lifetime. If your looking for serenity and relaxation you will certainly find it here.

Thanks
