I love this place. The rooms have been updated in a very cool, relevant way. They're retro hip and setup with all of the amenities for an awesome ski trip- great flat screen TV, free wifi, fantastic Starwood bed, in room cubbies and ski rack, in-room coffee, in-room fridge, and lots of storage space. Nothing over-the-top fancy, just a very cool, very clean room, with a fantastic look and feel.

The hotel is right on the slopes and has a walkaway to the Snowmass Village for restaurants, shops, etc. Even though the hotel has a very slick pool scene and hot tubs, you're linked to the Westin, so if you're looking for fine dining or a trip to the spa, you've got that right at your fingertips.

My favorite part about this hotel is the lobby and communal space. The lobby has an excellent bar and restaurant and attracts a great mix of locals, young travelers, and families in the evenings. People sit around the fire playing board games, drinking beers, and eating wings. They also have a great rec room for kids to play in, meetings, and other needs. I got a quick look into the fitness center, next tot the pool and it seems state-of-the art. But frankly, who cares. If you need to use a fitness room while you're in the Rockies with all of the skiing, hiking, and other great things to do outdoors, you're nuts.

Don't stay at the Wildwood Lodge if you're looking for the utmost in luxury service or fancy rooms- the Westin is just next door. Go to the Wildwood if you're looking for a reliable, fun, hip, social, high quaity ski-on-ski-off experience at a great value.

By far the coolest lodge right on the mountain. The food is amazing. The rooms are cozy. The rooms were clean and the staff super helpful. The best part - the hot tubs. And again, the yummy pizzas and great fire place. our family had a great time. thank you.

We arrived December the 27th at 2:45 pm , The front desk tell us that they didn't have a room with a king size available even less a crib and a rolling bed , I was traveling with my wife and two kids one nine years old and a baby , imaging that after four hours drive from Denver , I don't have any complaint about the staff , Silverstre at the front desk was very helpful anf Fernanda and the girls at the bar also work very well but Starwoods is a recognized brand and they need to know how to deal with the public in this cirscunstances , I had to slept with my wife in a double bed for a week ,The rooms aren't sound proof ,they run out of hot water very quickly , The arcade room is a joke with 1978 games , after a mayor renovation The elevator is so old than you can hear the sound from your room ( only one) Breakfast is very limited , four dollars for a cup of coffee , they had leaks in the lobby just after forty five days of opening , i was expecting at lest one free night but i received a bill with 20 dollars per day resort for services that i never see although they take out of my bill then .parking is limited and outdoor only prepared to clean your car full of ice every morning , The burguers pizza and wings are very good and the beer a plus ,Try the 1504 and Fat tire , You won regret .

Room Tip: old rooms sucks

Terrible! This property has no SPG standards. Worst than an "Econo Lodge" but with high prices. Yes, its well located, adjacent to a mall where you may found ski rentals, restaurants, lifts... The heating during our check-in day was not working properly, inside of our room we had a temperature of 54 F; and housekeeping? no one came to our room to clean it during our two days stay. Dirty bath tub also. It seems that this 70´s old hotel was just refurbished and painted from the outside. The solution: pay the extra and move to the Westin. The personnel was really kind but without any experience.

Room Tip: Try to book at the adjacent Westin hotel, at least the heating works and you may found a clean room.

We are just returning from a stay at the Wildwood and it was unfortunately the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Wildwood was recently "remodeled" but mainly in the bar/lobby area. The layout is similar to a 60's motel where your door opens to an outdoor hallway. This would work well in most locations but not where the temperature can be -10 and allows a draft into your already cold room. The noise level is HORRIBLE as they have no mats/carpets to absorb the sound of ski boots/luggage banging up and down stairs/walkways. The elevator has no heat and doesn't go to the top floor, you need to carry your luggage up an outdoor staircase that is icy. (Without any bellmen to assist you with luggage or parking).
The staff expresses no concern over major problems such as no hot water, no heat, and no housekeeping. There is a "what do you expect me to do about it?" response.
The bar doubles as a "place to grab food" if you are starving but takes forever. The breakfast is well below a budget motel offering only four options, order by number with no exceptions. Dirty plates and glassware are left all over the lobby/lounge area.
The location earns them one star but stay anywhere but here! It is not up to Starwood standards.
