The staff (Dave) was very helpful and accommodating. This is an older lodge/hotel in the center of Snowmass Village that is very clean and maintained. It is next to the bus/shuttle stop. Also, adjacent free parking.

Pokolodi is located right by Snowmass Village Mall. Access to shops and restaurants and gondola. Free bus shuttle to Aspen very close. The pool is clean and refreshing, not a heavy chlorine smell. The staff was nice as my husband got sick the week we were to arrive and even though we booked it through an online travel company they allowed us to change our dates. Only negative was the free breakfast did not start till 8 which meant we usually missed it as you want to start hiking early. When we did get breakfast a bit disappointing as there was no fresh fruit. Ask for a room that does not face the road which can be busy.

Room Tip: ask for upper room facing pool

I have stayed at Pokolodi Lodge numerous times on weekend getaways to Snowmass and have experienced consistently excellent service each time. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the views amazing, the staff friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I have found Pokolodi Lodge to be an exceptional value and will continue to stay here when visiting the Aspen/Snomass area. The continental breakfast is great and I always enjoy a relaxing in the gorgeous. pool/hot tub, taking in the views after a day spent mtn biking Snowmass mountain's amazing trails. Beautiful!

We found the room to be clean. The staff could not have been more helpful. The morning breakfast was a great way to start the day. I couldn't belive how close it was to the slopes. If you didn't ski there was all kinds of activites. It was our first time there but I promise it will not be our last. Excellant value. Even though the owner is a Steelers fan he is still the nicest guy. We recommend this place highly.

We stayed here on a whim during a recent trip to Maroon Bells. Didn’t know anything about the motel before driving up and checking in, we just needed a place to stay for the night. Great location and the price was reasonable, fairly cheaper than actual downtown Aspen. The area was really nice and scenic, but I found it surprising at how dead the village was. Not like other ski areas we visited during the summer. I think we saw 3 people the entire evening walking around, I guess everyone was in Aspen. The grounds were beautiful and the pool/hot tub area looked nice, but we didn’t go in.

The room was very nice, cozy and had a rustic charm to it. Like other reviewers said, there was no a/c. It wasn’t really a huge deal for us, we just cracked the window and thought it was breezy enough. I’m sure though in the winter, it would be cold since it only had baseboard heat. We would probably stay here again if we visited during the winter. It’s a great location for skiers and the price is right.

They did advertise a free breakfast which was a total joke! Cereal and canned fruit was all they had available.. they didn’t even have coffee.
