Laurelwood Condos,
Location : 640 Carriage Way, Snowmass Village, CO

4-8 April 2012 .Excellent place to stay in the Snowmass Village for ski !!!
Nice Spa outside. Very close to the main Mall with all restaurants and shopping… and a bus stop (free) for local traveling to the other ski place and mountains, including Aspen.
Room was very well equipped (fool kitchen with ALL necessary staff)…
Room was clean with every day cleaning all our mess..
Room with enough place for up to 4 people with possibility to separate bedroom from living area by Sliding wall !!!
We was very happy just put on all ski staff in a room .. go outside.. put ski on and go little bit down to the ski lift..or to a bus..

Room Tip: Ask the first floor room No start from 101

The Laurelwood fell far short of expectations, especially after arriving in Snowmass and seeing all the nicer options out there. We booked the premier studio which was supposed to be nicer than the average studios but the decor was very disappointing. The daily room service consisted of not much more than fresh towels and making the bed. The complimentary firewood promised on the website never actually materialized. We were told to take the shuttle bus to the market to buy some. If you are expecting to watch a nice movie back at the condo after a day of skiing, forget about it. There are no premium channels on the tv so you are stuck with basic channels. The only movies for rent at the main office are for young kids and they are very limited. If you are a college student who doesn't intend on being in the condo for anything other than sleeping, this place will probably suffice. If you are anyone else expecting some niceties during your stay in Snowmass, look elsewhere. This is bare bones.

Dear FTLDDB,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I apologize your stay was not what you had expected. We truly value our guests’ opinions and welcome the opportunity to help improve the overall experience during their stay at The Laurelwood. The removal of the complimentary firewood is a recent decision in an effort to go green, however you are correct that this must be removed from our website. Had your disappointment been brought to our attention during your stay we do feel we would’ve been able to remedy the situation immediately. During your stay we do provide daily housekeeping, which consists of making the beds, exchanging soiled towels from the floor, loading the dishwasher and removing the garbage. If something other than normal daily housekeeping is needed we are available for any additional requests. We currently do have premium TV channels with 6 HBO channels which are listed on the TV channel guide inside each unit. We hope you will give another try in future bookings to Snowmass as we strive to meet and exceed your expectations.
Sincerely,
Management

Would never come back here again!
So much for daily a daily housekeeping!!!!! It turns out is only ONCE a week! Have you ever hear anything like it? I have not....
To Laurewoods it means bringing clean towels and putting 3 dirty dishes in the dishwasher!!! But, the rest is UP to you dear guest!!!!! Lol. (not very funny actually)
The management was extremely rude and ignorant! Not, to mention VERY argumentative.
The sheets, pillows and blankets were old and worn out! You nay get one roll of toilet paper and klenex Per day! If you need more, you Must contact the manager because the housekeeper has no keys for supplies.
Also, the fireplace is not working!!!!
Please find another place to stay!!! Don't waist your money!!!!!

Dear Alisson B
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I apologize your stay did not meet your expectations. We do provide daily housekeeping, which consists of making the beds, exchanging soiled towels from the floor, loading the dishwasher and removing the garbage. We do change the sheets once a week. We purchase new linens on a seasonal basis, we do our best to rotate the old linen out of circulation. I apologize you felt the management was “rude and ignorant”, I personally did not have an opportunity to speak with. I will be contacting you shortly to help me understand your disappointments and hopefully resolve any misunderstandings there may have been. We appreciate your review and will use it as a training tool as we strive to exceed the expectations of all of our guests.

Management

We stayed in 301 which is closest unit to Jacuzzis, laundry and also near curb. Overall very pleased with Laurelwood for it's ski-in ski-out, close proximity to Village and Center. A real treat to cook our favorite breakfast!

This unit is great for 4 people as it has 2 full baths. There is ample storage and a separate closet for those who sleep on the queen sized sofa bed. The unit is on the upper level with higher ceilings and a loft (great for storing luggage) View the slope from the window! Pocket doors separate the bedroom from the living area.
The kitchen features granite counters and oak cabinets. There were enough utensils and dishes. The TV was accessible for viewing from the kitchen and the living room.
The Laurelwood has a great ski-in ski-out location! One can walk out the back door, unlock his skiis and be on the slope within steps! It's great if you wish to come home for lunch and then hit the slopes. A terrific feature is free phone calls -even international! The staff is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a stay at the Laurelwood!

I stayed in room 308 and was impressed by how clean the unit was. Everything was kept very orderly and easy to find. The location of the condominium is excellent and just a very short walk to the slopes. I must say, however, I was quite off-put by the staff and extremely off-put by security on the premises. I went on a college trip and felt as if I were treated like a child. This really made myself and most of the students feel very unwelcome at Laurelwood. I literally could not walk into the building toward my room without being under the watchful eye of security, as if I had a limited amount of time before I was approached and told to get into my room. Consistently throughout every night of our stay, security would knock on our door and tell us to keep the noise down or they would kick us out, and even deny us a bus trip back to Indiana!! (something that had nothing to do with Laurelwood or their SS officer security). Granted, this was a college trip and occasionally the noise may have exceeded that of an elderly permanent resident watching Murder She Wrote, however the frequency of security intervention FAR exceeded the necessity. I, among others, felt as if the security guards overshot their duty of preventing violence, theft, and vandalism and leapt into the realm of bullying. This borderline harassment was extremely uncalled for and despite the definite pros of staying at Laurelwood, I will never return and would urge anyone in the college-age demographic to not give Laurelwood their business as well. When Laurelwood starts treating all of their customers the same and not discriminating against college-aged students, I'll reconsider.

Dear Patrick B,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The travel organizer for your college trip provides the Laurelwood with security for the safety and enjoyment of your college group as well as other owners and guests that are staying at The Laurelwood while your group is here. We have had many positive reviews from the college groups expressing how helpful it was having the security guards on property for occurrences such as lock-outs, medical emergencies, rooms issues and general information.
Sincerely, Management
