Tasty stews , soups and lamb shanks which are exactly what I feel like after a tiring day of skiing. Great service and value.

“Good Food That Is Filling!”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

If you are on a budget or just on the frugal side, then dinner at The Stew Pot is for you..Large bowls of stew, great bread, large salad (if you ordered the Stew or their daily specials, you should split the salad)..However, one night my room mate & I weren't that hungry for a full meal and we ordered a Cup of Chili and large salad..The Stew Pot's Thick Bread & Butter and we both enjoyed our meal..Attentive Service, Good Food, and attractive prices make this small restaurant a Snowmass Favorite..

“Our favorite place to eat in Snowmass”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

This is a gem of a place in Snowmass Village mall. It's small, very low key, and has the BEST stews, as well as sandwiches, salads, and nightly specials. We go there every time we're in Snowmass, and this time we ended up eating there 3 times. The stews are delicious, filling, and healthy. Every stew we've tried there has been a winner. Beer and wine available too. If you're looking for a small, low-key place with great food at a reasonable price and a staff that always makes you feel welcome, you can't go wrong here!

“The name says it all!”
Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

The Stew Pot is a fixture in Snowmass Village, probably because people keep coming back. It's a little hole-in-the-wall, with a spiral staircase in the back up to a second floor (a trial to climb in ski boots, though). They serve salads and sandwiches, but the star is always stew. I recently tried the habenero pork stew special, served over mashed potatoes, and it was fantastic (not too hot, about a 4 on a 1-10 scale). They have a decent selection of bottled craft beers. It can get crowded though, even at lunch time. Worth the wait.
