“Some of the Best Skiing in the U.S.A.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014

This place has it all - good beginner terrain, wide blue cruisers and a few kicking black diamonds. The place is large enough that no matter what your ability level is, you can always find new runs. And crowds? Never.

“Dreamy In Every Way....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2014

Snowmass was dreamy, super snow, wonderfully groomed trails for all skill levels, easy lifts, lots of dining options. This is the type of mountain you could ski for weeks on end and not get tiered of it or board by the trails. Employees on the mountain were nice and accommodating; can't speak highly enough of it. Lots and lots to do for every skill level.

“Great Skiing & Village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

Spent a week in Snowmass with family and friends over Christmas. The mountain is large, with something for everyone. I thought the rolling hills were particularly well suited to the snowboarders in our group. Fun tree skiing, variety of terrain. Village is compact and easy to navigate. Hope to be back soon!

“We had our skis stolen”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014

While having lunch in the lower village at Snowmass a set of our skis were stolen from the storage racks. We were told this was common during the X Games event.
We lodged an official report (in pencil) which was put into a folder with all the other stolen ski reports. I also went to some of the ski hire companies to see if they had been accidentally returned to them. Some had skis put into a corner that didn't belong to them but there was no system where they were taken to one location or matched with the reports to get them back to their rightful owners.
I have also made 3 requests to get a copy of the police report to be able to make an insurance claim with no reply as yet.
This resort relies entirely on tourists. If they don't protect the interests of their customers they will get a reputation they deserve.
We stayed 2 weeks at the Crestwood apartments and they were brilliant. Highly recommend them.
Even though we got no fresh snow for the 2 weeks, the mountain as a whole was great. The mountain is huge and the variety stops any chance of getting bored.
The officials in charge of operating the resort as a whole need to have a better look at security and get some basic systems in place to identify stolen / lost equipment more efficienly.
