I stayed there for 1 night. i woke up with at least 15 bed bug bites all over my exposed body. my head arms, hands, and feet are all bitten.I woke up this morning and my right eye was swollen shut. the place is old, and they don't wash their old quilts. Stay Away!

We take this accusation very seriously and I am very puzzeled why you didn't bring this to our attention when you came down for breakfast the next morning. I would think if one was bitten then one would have certainly informed us. I think it's odd that this is the first that we have heard of this. We did call in professionals to check our place as we take this accusation very seriously. I am sorry if you didn't enjoy your stay as I know we can't please everyone but we sure try.

Our place is historic as it was built in 1901 by my great, great grandfather. We take pride in our business and our cleanliness as we want our guests to return and I hope that this one review doesn't keep you away from our charming Hotel. Come see for yourself and come enjoy our hospitality.

Great place to stay!! The room we were in was a bit small, but very clean and the king bed very comfortable. Gerald and Nancy were great hosts and made you feel right at home. Nancy's breakfasts were wonderful and the wine and cheese at 5:00 pm hit the spot after a busy day. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

My family finally made a trip on the Durango to Silverton train ride. We stayed at the Villa Dallavalle Inn between train rides. Lisa and Bill were wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome and my grandchildren felt like they were home. The rooms are charming and very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the wine and cheese in the evening and the tasty breakfast. Lisa made special pancakes for the children. They gave lots of advise as to where to eat and what to see. We'd stay there again.

The people running it, Nancy and Gerald, are the best part. The are long time residents and give valuable advice. The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is generous- but not too fancy. There is plenty of hot waer. They offer wine and cheese at 5 PM.

The only negatives-- the windows don't open.

We would stay there again.

Gerald Swanson (Proprietor) was born and raised in Silverton. His roots go deep. Combine this with his warm and engaging personality and you've got a historical storyteller who'll happily share all that he has lived for 8 decades in this charming town.
Now comes Nancy, Gerald's wife, and the icing on the cake. She's a lovely, warm, and energetic woman who spends much of her time behind the scenes making your stay with them comfortable and memorable. She's the cook, interior designer, business manager, and friendly face that greets you each morning.
I truly can't think of a better place to rest and relax when in Silverton.

We stayed at this charming historic B&B for one night but would have loved staying longer. The owners made us feel welcome and were happy to accommodate us with a needed late checkout. The B&B offers happy hour and evening entertainment. We loved the old photos, memorabilia, robes in the rooms and a wonderful breakfast. My husband's favorite part was listening to Gerald's (owner and lifelong resident) stories and history of Silverton.
