“Excellent stop when crossing the Rockies”
Reviewed May 2, 2012

The Silver Inn was a great choice for a quick nights sleep when traveling on Interstate 70. At first I was a bit suspect of the price, thinking, "Uh Oh, what am I in for". I was pleasantly surprised. This is a family run hotel and it was impeccably clean in the room, the lobby, hallways and around the premises. The manager was very nice, welcoming and very accomodating to any requests. Realizing this is the off season for Silverthorne, I probably got a better price than in the winter sport season. This said, there are several positives to this site. Rocky Mountain communities along I-70 have high room rates for anything decent so the Silver Inn was a good choice. You are also fairly close to Denver but don't have to spend the night off the interstate in a questionable area and deal with the traffic and this hotel is far enough off the highway it is very quiet and peaceful. Lastly the rooms were large and you did not feel cramped like in alot of budget hotels. Plus did I mention it was clean! Long and short i feel comfortable recommding this place to anyone who needs to stop along 70, doesn't want to spend a fortune and is interested in avoiding Denver as a stopping point.

Stayed here on the way to Vegas. It has average hotel rooms, but they are very clean and for snowboarding season in Colorado, 70$ a night on the weekend was super cheap! Highly recommended!

Let me start off by saying this place is probably the least expensive hotel in this area. That alone deserves 3 stars. However I would rate the nearby Comfort Inn a little higher in terms of comfort, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere.

The Silver Inn appears to be run and operated by a couple owners, who are pretty friendly. The amenities are sparse, but the wifi works decently and for the most part the rooms are clean. I had an issue with scratchy, stained towels, as well as the limited shampoo they provide you. The beds are a little too soft for my taste. The walls are also paper thin, so hope for the best that you get quiet neighbors.

Breakfast was ok, but I didn't expect much for this place. They had only muffins (looked like the big ones you get from Costco bakery), juice and coffee, as well as a few pieces of fresh fruit.

Overall I would stay here again if I want somewhere cheap and quick, but I would definitely look into other places if I had a choice.

I have stayed at this place while snowboarding in Summit county. If you you don't need a lot of amenities when you snowboard this is the place to stay. Clean comfortable rooms, centralized location if you are going to multiple resorts and all for less then $100 a night.

Room Tip: There are not a lot of dining options nearby unless you are into fast food, but Murphy's down th...

I have stayed at the Silver Inn three times now, it suits my requirments, One of the cleanest hotels ive ever stayed at, the owners are friendly and very helpfull, the price is reasonable, the breakfast is basic pastries/cereal - coffee/juice all i require,
the location is just far enough from the Interstate ,so its quiet, yet close enough to the local shops and restaurants.
We used the hotel as a base to ski at Keystone 10 minutes, Breckenridge 15 minutes Vail and Beaver Creek 30 minutes, Frisco is only 10 minutes.
Having stayed at other hotels in the area and being dissapointed am really pleased we found the Silver Inn
We will certainly stay here again and recommend it .

Rooms are basic but nice and clean. "Breakfest" is juice, coffee and muffins and you have to take it to the room (there's no room to eat it). Friendly staff. Very good value - Much cheaper than other in SIlverthorne, and not let less good.
