Made the 3 hr drive from grand junction. Wasn't to impressed, not very good of deals. Had a lot of the same stores as the Mesa mall. The Mesa mall typically has better deals than the outlet mall did. The Columbia store was the only one that was really worth it.

The stores are the ones you often see in centers like this, and some had great deals while others were just ok, which is typical. Options ranged from Eddie Bauer to Coldwater Creek to Coach. The good parts of the visit were the paved walking paths (convenient for walking between complexes) and the setting along the water. There were people fly fishing at the base of a walking bridge, and we watched the trout swimming around down below. There were guys lined up along the bridge, watching one fly fisherman at work. He had all the right gear and looked the part of the avid fly fisherman. We joked with other spectators about whether the local chamber paid him to fish there, to add a little color to the outlet mall experience.

We found some school clothes here, but like any other outlet store, you'd better know your prices. Stop by the visitor center for coupons. We got about 30% off our Nike bill with one. I agree the stores are rather spread out with a busy road in between. Not safe with kids or loaded with package.

Winter skiers and summer vacationers usually take a day off from outdoor activity during a visit. Since Americans are born to shop this is a great place to do that. I'd call it mid-range cost, not Rodeo Drive or the like. You can walk between all the different shopping areas, there is a shuttle bus also, and food places are scattered throughout or nearby. My personal favorite is Columbia for outdoor clothing. M'lady bought a saddlebag purse for her laptop and accessories at Coaches (she later found out it's also a diaper bag, but who knew?). Good outlet store shopping.

This outlet does not have the higher end stores but does hae some excellent shopping. Many store are located in three different areas along the Blue River in Silverthorne
